Very little. 90% of grads in the field of education are white. We lack black applicants, but without representation of race, there will continue to be very few because white teachers don’t really impart passion for learning in black students. Even if they try, there is a cultural disconnect.

That being an educator doesn’t require me to be someone of elite intelligence. They are average people.

I would hire diverse teachers. Even areas with diverse populations, teachers are almost all white. I would do hands-on active learning and open conversations about race, gender, and inequality.

One week paid, but we have to take it in the summer. Love my summer breaks and winter breaks.
Unfair, administration receives 2.5 days per week after 10 years, plus all holidays as teachers, and anytime the diatrict is off.
