
Since SECURA was founded, we have had a goal to effectively and wisely manage our resources to minimize our impact on the environment. Our Sustainability Committee champions this cause by identifying potential improvements, implementing or making recommendations to do so, and tracking our progress with sustainable practices.
Launched on the 40th anniversary of Earth Day in 2010, our Sustainability Committee encourages our associates, agents, policyholders, and the community to reduce their own environmental impact.
In recognition of our sustainability initiatives, we have been recognized by the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council with a Green Master designation.
Environmental sustainability is a practice to reduce costs, waste, and risk – all in the name of improving our communities.
The Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council recognized our sustainability efforts and awarded SECURA with the corporate environmental designation—Green Professional—in 2017. The program helps companies drive continuous improvement in sustainability and provides sustainability benchmarks against peers.
We are proud of our sustainability efforts at our home office, including the addition of solar panels, associate gardens, wildflower habitats, paperless initiatives in the office and cafeteria, and remote working options for our associates. We believe that these small steps help to ensure the future of our environment.
