From my experience the only thing leadership is concerned with is the number of sales you make. They do not care how unethical you have to be to get those sales as long as you get them.

As a recruiter I probably wouldn't tell my perspective employees that the hiring manager didnt want to hire them initially.
The entire ethos of the company is to make money. They care about nothing else.
The trick people to call using deceptive marketing and rely on high pressure sales to get the numbers.
