Executive Bio
Mr. Jeffrey Walker Martin serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Sempra Energy (???Sempra???). Mr. Martin oversees all financial matters for Sempra Energy, including business development and major acquisitions. Previously, from 2014 through 2016, he served as chairman and Chief Executive Officer of San Diego Gas & Electric, one of Sempra Energy's regulated California utilities. From 2010 to 2014, he was Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Sempra U.S. Gas & Power and its predecessor company, Sempra Generation. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Investor Relations of Sempra Energy. He first joined Sempra Energy in 2004. Before joining Sempra Energy, he was Chief Financial Officer of NewEnergy, Inc. and President and a director of TruePricing, Inc. Mr. Martin served as Corporate Counsel at UniSource Energy Corporation and was an attorney at the law firm of Snell & Wilmer, LLP, where his transactional practice focused on corporate and commercial finance and real estate. He serves on the board of directors of the California Chamber of Commerce and the Edison Electric Institute, as well as the board of trustees of the University of San Diego. Mr. Martin recently served on the board of directors of the National Association of Manufacturers and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the boards of Directors for several Sempra Energy business units, including San Diego, Southern California Gas Company, Sempra Midstream & Renewables, LLC, and Infraestructura Energ???tica Nova (IEnova) in Mexico. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master's Degree in public administration from the University of Texas, El Paso, and a law degree from the University of Miami.
