Mr. Paul H. Yong serves as Chief Tax Counsel and Vice President, Tax of Sempra Energy. Mr. Yong oversees Sempra Energy's tax department. Previously, he was associate chief tax counsel for Sempra. Before joining Sempra Energy's tax department in 2004, he was a principal with Quantum Tax Consultants, a tax partner with Arthur Andersen and vice president of tax with Unocal Corporation. He was a structural engineer with the U.S. Department of Defense. He has a Juris Doctor degree from Hastings College of Law, a master's degree in tax law from New York University and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Hawaii.
