To set up a new Visa eGift Credit Card Touch, click on the Touches tab and scroll to the buttons as shown below:
After completing the setup, users can now send Visa eGift Credit Cards offers. They'll receive an email and you can also customize the redemption landing page.

Step One: Touch Set-Up -
To enable the ability to generate eGift links, you need to make sure that your touch is set up to "Allow Sender to Choose":
Step 2: Generating the link from Salesforce or Sendoso.com
You can generate them one-by-one within Salesforce or in bulk CSV download within Sendoso.com.
Click on the Sendoso button in Salesforce and select the eGift to send:
Then click on "Generate eGift links to download" in the drop-down:
It will then display the eGift link for you to copy/paste and send:
It will also automatically add an Activity and add to a pre-specified Salesforce Campaign:
You can also generate eGift links from within Sendoso.com:
Once you decide on the amount of eGift links and value of the egift link you wish to order, you'll just click "Generate and Download" to get the egift link!

Gating generated eGifts links for additional tracking
If you're planning on generating an egift link and sending it directly to the end recipient, you have the option to "gate" egifts and require them to enter in their email so you know when and who redeemed it.
Step One: Select an eGift touch
Step Two: Select "Generate eGift links to download" and check the "Gate the eGift redemption page..." option
You are able to set who gets the notification when the recipient redeems the egift offer either by checking the send notification to the Salesforce Account Owner or by manually typing in the sender's email.
Step Three: Copy the link and send it to the recipient
Step Four: When the recipient clicks on the link, they will be prompted to enter in their work email and once they do they are able to select and redeem the egift option and the sender will get the notification.

Best Practice Tip -
We advise you to use the touch associated within the designated country you are trying to send the eGift to. However, keep in mind that some vendors could be used for multiple countries if they share the same currency. I.E. Sending an Amazon eGift in Germany and the Netherland would work because they both use the same currency, the Euro.

Sendoso offers over 200+ options from Starbucks to Chipotle to Amazon and many others.
Here's how to create and send an eGift offer
First, it's recommended to create some Templates. You can send eGift offers on the fly without this, but Templates make it easier.
When you create a Template you can:1) Upload a graphic header image to customize the branding. (Image must be 620px by 86px)2) Make it private or available to your Sendoso team/colleagues.3) See a Live Preview.

IMPORTANT: Marketo does not support Webhook flow steps in Batch campaigns only Triggered campaigns. If you need to set up a Webhook for a Batch campaign audience then read more here.
Assuming you've first done all the one-time setup instruction here thenyou are now ready to set up your Sendoso Touch and Marketo Flow steps to trigger the Webhook.
First, you will need to get your Sendoso Touch ID to add to the Marketo Flow. Navigate to https://app.sendoso.com/touches
Creating a Sendoso Touch for Marketo
1. Select "Create New Touch."
2. Select the item you would like to send with this touch and move to the next step. Complete the send details step and move to the next step. On the touch details page, change the touch type to "Triggered sending based on integration." Select the funding source you'd like to send. Proceed to the next step.
3. On the next page, select Marketo as the integration type and select next.
4. On the next page, change the Marketo Integration Type to "Marketo Webhook." Next, you'll use the "Marketo Client Secret," "Marketo Client ID," and "Base URL" you received during Webhook setup. On the bottom of the page you'll receive the "Sendoso Touch ID." Copy the Sendoso Touch ID, you will need it during Flow Setup. Proceed to the next step.
5. On the next page, you can select who you would like to receive notifications. In addition to that, if your send contains a note to the recipient, you can create/edit the template on this page. Select "edit template with custom message." On this page, you can insert Marketo Variables to create a dynamic note.
6. The final step needed for a Marketo Triggered Touch will be to map how Sendoso will send data back to Marketo. This will correspond with the channel and program member statuses that were created during channel creation. Select next step and finish the remaining steps.
Creating a Marketo Flow for Sendoso
1. Click Marketing Activities and click into the Campaign (or create a new one) where you want to trigger a Sendoso mailer/gift:

Benefits from Shipping USA to USA orCanada to Canada or UK to UK include:
No customs fees if custom gifts, swag, etc are purchased within the country and sent to our in-country warehouse.
If you are shipping gifts, swag, etc from USA to our Canada warehouse then customs fees are paid only once. Instead of paying customs on each individual shipment (direct-to-customer), a customs fee is paid once to get the goods into the country. Subsequent direct to Canadian customer shipments are free from this levy.
Eliminates the need to go through Customs on individual shipments
Using domestic ship-methods in Canada such as Canada Post, shipping times and costs to Canadian customers can be significantly reduced.
Some other things to consider if you are shipping from the US to our Canada warehouse or from the US to our UK warehouse:
Anything crossing the border will need an Importer of Record. Unfortunately, Sendosocannot act in this capacity.
You will need to clear customs, paying all applicable duties and freight prior to landing goods at our facilities.
Unfortunately, any goods arriving with duties or freight unpaid will be refused.

Step one: Log in and navigate to the Touches tab andclick on the "Create New Touch" option

Step Two: Select the touch from a variety of options (Note: any physical items must be sent to our warehouse prior to creating the touch. Here's aon how to send items in)
Step Three: Follow the steps to complete the touch creation process. You may need to select items (physical sends) or options for different touches.
Step Four:You will need to fill in a few details on this page, below is a break down of each field:
Touch Name (Internal) -This is the display name that you want to be shown on the touch page
Display Name (for Sender) - Similar to the Touch Name (Internal), you can choose a different name to display to senders, we recommend changing the name of the touch so that it's clear to senders what this touch entails.
Touch Type - There are two different touch types:
Manual touches are the ones that you want your users to be able to send. These touches will be displayed in their "Send" tab and this is primarily used for one to one sends.
Triggered touches are sends that happen in the background and are hidden from users. For example, you can choose to set up a touch to trigger when an SFDC rule is met or when an Influitive reward is redeemed.
Charge Cost to -
Senders Balance - If you select to charge the sender's balance then we will automatically deduct and costs for this send from the user's individual account balance.
Funding Source - If you select to charge a funding source, then we will pull the costs for the send from the unused balance of the associated funding source.
Step Five: This step allows you to map the touch to a Salesforce campaign. This is optional but great for tracking information to track ROI and map Campaign Member Statuses to Sendoso Statuses. (Note: Custom Campaign Member statuses must be created first in the Salesforce Campaign page "Advanced Setup" section and the Campaign needs to be marked as "Active" in SFDC in order for it to show up in Sendoso).
Step Six: Done! All that's left is to assign this touch to groups. Remember, all touches must be assigned to groups in order to be used by "Regular" users.

Sendoso places an order to Amazon to have the item shipped to Sendoso's warehouse.
Sendoso charges the sender $15 for a "Shipping Hold" - The actual cost of shipping will be assessed once the item reaches the Sendoso warehouse and shipping label is created. The difference in cost will be refunded if it's less than $15 or charged to the sender if it's more than $15.
Part Two: Amazon has shipped
Amazon sends the item to Sendoso's Warehouse and provides a tracking number.
Part Three: Item Delivered to Sendoso Warehouse
Item is marked as delivered to Sendoso Warehouse by the Amazon tracking number.
Warehouse team prepares for processing the order.
Part Four: Writes Notes and Packing
Sendoso marks the item as received.
Amazon item is removed from Amazon packaging and placed in brand friendly packaging.
Handwritten note team writes the note and adds to package.
Typically a 48 hour processing phase.
Part Five: Shipped from Sendoso Warehouse
Warehouse team QA's the package and verifies everything is correct.
Label is created and tracking number provided to Sender.
Sendoso refunds the "Shipping Hold" and charges the actual cost of the shipping label.
Part Six: Packages Delivered
Follow up with recipient on send.
View ArticleAs an option for enhanced security, we can enable two factor authentication for your users when logging into Sendoso. Please contact your CSM or the Sendoso Solutions Engineer team at [email protected] to get this enabled for your account.
You will need either the Auth0 Guardian app or the Google Authenticator app for your phone.
Setting up Two Factor Authentication:
1. Log in at app.sendoso.com
2. You will then be given the chance to choose between two authenticator options:
You can either use the Google Authenticator App or download the Auth0 Guardian app. I recommend Auth0 Guardian app as it pushes a notification that you can accept.
3.Next, on the Auth0 Guardian app, select the + in the top right corner, then scan the QR code with your camera.
For Google Authenticator, the process is similar. Select the + in the top right corner and scan the QR code.
4.Next, the screen will display a code that you can safely record in the event that you lose your phone and need to reset your two factor authentication. That completes the 2FA setup - Auth0 Guardian will push a notification when you attempt to sign in and for Google Authenticator you will need to retrieve the code to sign in.

If your eGift has a custom message or your Touch has a handwritten note or printed-on-demand note, then configure the message and custom Eloqua variables:
Lastly, select who should receive notifications and click Next to finish:
Once you finished setup in Sendoso it's now time to login to Eloqua to complete setup.
After you've decided which Program or Campaign you want to integrate into Sendoso you'll notice the Sendoso Action Step at the bottom on the canvas:
Drag the Sendoso Action Step onto the canvas anywhere you want:
Then click on the Sendoso Action to configure it, and click on the pencil edit icon:
Lastly, select the Sendoso Touch you created in the first part of this setup guide from the Cloud Action Configuration dropdown. And that's it!
Now whenever the Sendoso Action step is triggered the Touch will be sent.
To track shipped/delivery notification you can review the Analytics section of Sendoso or wait for the email notifications.

Whenever you want to send something to one of the Sendoso warehouses, you will need to create a "Ship Notice". Our warehouse receives hundreds of packages a day, so having a unique ship notice number on your shipping label is crucial for timely receiving of your items.
You will need a unique ship notice for EVERY shipment you send into our warehouse, please do not use the same ship notice numbers more than once. To get started, you will need to have Sendoso Manager access.
Note - If you do not already have products listed here, you will need to reach out to your customer success manager to create the products for you.
Here's a video of the entire process.

Step One -
Log in and click on the Inventory Tab, this view will give you a comprehensive view of all the products you have across our warehouses. You can use the Warehouse filter to narrow down the view to a specific warehouse location.
Step Two -
Click on the +Add Inventory button to get started with creating a shipping notice.
Select the items that you are planning on sending over, how many items, and the image for that product. If you are sending multiple items in the same shipment, then you can click on the "Add new item to this shipment" to include the additional items.
Quick note on product images:
If a photo is already associated with an item, that photo will appear in a small icon for review
Managers can choose to re-upload a different photo if they desire
If there is no photo associated with an item, then we will require a photo to be submitted before creating the shipping notice
If you do not see your item listed that you want to send us please contact your Customer Success Manager or email .
Last Step -
Once you click "Create Ship Notice" you'll get a pop-up with the relevant warehouse information and your unique ship notice number.
Make sure that you include the SN # on your shipping label so we cantrack and inventory your items quickly when they arrive in the warehouse.
** Please note that shipments sent without ship notices could take upwards of 2 weeks to get inventoried **

These orders are placed by our project manager, Paige Schall and we will usually loop her in if it has anything to do with a Sendoso Direct order. These can vary in shipping and delivery times depending on the vendor we use.
Can I cancel an order? Can I change my handwritten note? Can I update an address for my order?
The answer to all three of these is, yes we can as long as the order is still in processing. Once an order moves over to Shipped then it is too late to change it.

This error occurs with both direct and indirect operations. The following is an example of an indirect operation:
A request is submitted to update Object A.
Abeforeupdatetrigger on object A creates an object B.
Object A is updated.
Anafterinserttrigger on object B queries object A and updates it. This update is an indirect update of object A because of the before trigger of object A, so an error is generated.

If a parent record has a child record that needs a sharing rule, youcan'tdelete the sharing rule for the parent record.

TERRITORY_REALIGN_IN_PROGRESS
An operation can't be performed because a territory realignment is in progress.

The specified text uses a character set that is not supported.
TOO_MANY_APEX_REQUESTS
Too many Apex requests have been sent. This error is transient. Resend your request after a short wait.
TOO_MANY_ENUM_VALUE
A request failed because too many values were passed in for a multi-select picklist. You can select a maximum of 100 values for a multi-select picklist.
TRANSFER_REQUIRES_READ
You can't assign the record to the specified User because the user does not have read permission.
UNABLE_TO_LOCK_ROW
A deadlock or timeout condition has been detected.
A deadlock involves at least two transactions that are attempting to update overlapping sets of objects. If the transaction involves a summary field, the parent objects are locked, making these transactions especially prone to deadlocks. To debug, check your code for deadlocks and correct. Deadlocks are generally not the result of an issue with Salesforce operations.
A timeout occurs when a transaction takes too long to complete, for example, when replacing a value in a picklist or changing a custom field definition. The timeout state is temporary. No corrective action is needed.
If an object in a batchcan'tbe locked, the entire batch fails with this error. Errors with this status code contain the IDs of the records that couldnt be locked, when available, in the error message.
UNAVAILABLE_RECORDTYPE_EXCEPTION
The appropriate default record type could not be found.
UNDELETE_FAILED
An object could not be undeleted because it does not exist or has not been deleted.
UNKNOWN_EXCEPTION
The system encountered an internal error. Report this problem to Salesforce.

SETUP GUIDE:

Activity Tracking,you can drill into Activity to filter Sendoso activities and status of your sends. This will show you when a physical send has been delivered or when an e-gift has been opened and redeemed.
Sendoso Events can Trigger Sequences
You can also create a new Trigger to Trigger a Sequence off of a Sendoso event. Choose from any physical or eGift status event like "eGift Sent" or "Gift Delivered" and when that status changes in Outreach, it can trigger the prospect into the desired sequence.
Bonus: If you set up the Salesforce integration then when you send out of Outreach it will log Activities and tag to Salesforce Campaigns automatically!
View ArticleThis app will allow users to use the Sendoso chrome extension within Salesforce. The app contains a button for classic page layouts and a component for lightning page layouts. Following are the steps to add this app to these two page layouts.
Install (Needs to be done by a SFDC Admin)
1. Ensure you are synced to Salesforce within your Sendoso account

Setup
Setup must be done by a SFDC Admin
Lightning version
This is the same process for Lead Object or Contact Object.
1. Click the gear in the upper right hand corner and then click Service Setup
2. Then go to Object Manager and Click on Contact object or Lead object (you will need to go through this setup twice if you'd like the app to appear in both objects)
3. Next chooseLightning Record Pages
4. Create new lightning page by selecting New
5. Select Record Page
6. Name the Label and select your Object
7. Select the layout, it is entirely your preference
8. Scroll down to Custom Managed on the left nav bar until you see Sendoso
(Don't see Sendoso listed? You may need to register the domain, scroll down to "Register Domain" section of this document for setup details)
9. Drag Sendoso to the "Add Component(s) Here screen.
If you are new to component builder, peruse the left nav bar for more components to add like Record Detail and Activities
10. Click Save and setup is done!
11. The app should appear like this when you go to a Contact or Lead page. (Reminder: You need to complete setup for both Contact and Lead separately)
12. When you click on the blue Sendoso button from the app, it should trigger the chrome extension where you can complete the process of selecting a touch and sending to the contact/lead.
REGISTER DOMAIN
If the Sendoso app is not appearing in Step 8, please follow these steps created in this video by Salesforce to help you register the domain which should then enable the app to appear for you in Step 8.
View ArticleYou can set up triggers to automate sending direct mail or eGifts via Salesforce. You can set up triggers based on a contact/lead being added to a Salesforce Campaign or based on a Salesforce field update.
1. To get started, click on the Touches tab on the top left and then click the orange box "Create New Touch":
2. Select what you plan on sending from Touch Offerings and then hit Next Step on the bottom right:
3. Enter in the Touch name and details and select 'Trigger sending based on Integration':
4. After clicking Next then click on Salesforce:
5. There are two options for triggering Touches.You can set up triggers based on a contact/lead being added to a Salesforce Campaign or based on a Salesforce field update.
6. If you select "Member added to a Salesforce Campaign" then you can select which Campaign and what Campaign Member Status:
Or.... You can select the "Salesforce field" and then select which SFDC object and field will trigger the Touch:
7. Next, you can map the Salesforce fields to Sendoso:
NOTE: You must map email for status notifications to update.
8. If you are including a custom printed-on-demand (POD) notecard or a custom handwritten note then you can write out the message and customize the message with custom variables inserted from Salesforce:

Sendoso allows you to Sync all sending activity to Salesforce via automatically logging all Activity and also adding recipients (Leads/Contacts) to a Salesforce Campaign for additional tracking purposes.
In this Help Guide, you'll learn how to set up a Touch that is synced to Salesforce. Regular Users that you add to your Sendoso team can get set up with this Regular User Salesforce Setup guide.
To get started, make sure you're logged in. If not, login to Sendoso here.
Next, on the top left, select Touchesor click here to go directly to the Touchespage.

Next,click on Create New Touch.
Next, follow the steps until you get to the Tracking section. Scroll to the bottom and you'll see the Salesforce Tracking setup section.
Next, follow the instructions, when asked to Sync Salesforce you'll see a popup that looks like this:
Next, after syncing Salesforce you can select which Salesforce Campaign to want to sync that Touch with.
Once set up,it automatically logs all Activity. Itlogs an activity whenever anything is sent, and additionally if the eGift was opened or clicked and if the physically mailed item (direct mail, handwritten note, custom gift) was delivered. Sendoso always uses the same syntax below so you can create Salesforce reports easily.
Sendoso also adds each recipient (Lead/Contact) as a Member of a Salesforce Campaign in "Sent" status. Then if the eGift is opened, clicked or used it changes the status to "Opened, Clicked and Used" and if the physically mailed item (direct mail, handwritten note, custom gift) was delivered it changes status to "Delivered."
Additionally, Sendoso also automatically updates the Campaign fields for "Actual Cost in Campaign" with the sum of the actual cost of all items sent in that Touch and also updates the "Num Sent in Campaign" field.
If you want to test out the Salesforce integration and Sync make sure you've completed the steps above and also set up access to that Touch in the Teams section.
First, Install the Salesforce app (via Chrome), you can also to install it.
That's it! Now you're all set up. In Salesforce on any Lead or Contact record, you'll see the Sendoso button at the top.
If you click it you can select what you'd like to send. The email address or mailing address will be automatically pulled in. After clicking 'Send,' refresh the Salesforce page to see the logged Activity and logged Campaign member.

Instructions
Connect with your CSM and pick out a unique connection name like your company domain name or the User ID of the team owner. This will be the name of the connection that will be used in the callback link and the Sendoso system.
Go through the process of setting up Sendoso as a new application in your settings.
Configuring Okta
Log in to your Okta account. If you don't already have one, you will need to create one.
On the general Okta dashboard, clickAdmin. This takes you to the Okta Admin Dashboard.
Using the list of shortcuts at the right-hand side of the screen, clickAdd Applications.
On theAdd Applicationpage, selectCreate New App.
On theCreate a New Application Integrationpop-up window, select thePlatformfor your application, and chooseSAML 2.0as theSign on method. ClickCreateto proceed.
You will now create your SAML integration. On theGeneral Settingspage, provide the following:
App name: Sendoso
App logo:
App visibility: select whether you want your users to see your application icon and in what settings.

Set up and test SSO
Once the Sendoso team has this following information, it will enable your account for SSO. Once activated, you will be notified by the Sendoso team. Once completed, this is a sample login page your users will see, with the password field removed:

View ArticleSendoso can automatically add Salesforce contacts and leads to Campaigns and automatically update their member status when items are sent and delivered.
To set this up, log in to Salesforce, click on the Campaigns tab, and then create a new Campaign.
Then, after completing the basics (Name, Type, etc) click on the Advanced Setup button.
From the Advanced Setup page, you can now add in the custom Member Status' that correlate to your Campaign. At a minimum we suggest having status' for Sent, Delivered, and Responded.
Once you've saved the Campaign settings, log back into Sendoso.com and set up a new Touch.
When you're creating the new Touch, once you get to the Salesforce Tracking section you can enter in your Salesforce Campaign name and the preferred Member Status' for when something is sent and delivered.

Why Didn't My Activity Sync?
A few things to check if your activity didn't get synced to Salesforce
1. Are you synced to Salesforce?
You can navigate to this page to confirm, https://sendoso.com/integrations/salesforce
If you are synced, then you should see the green text, "Salesforce successfully synchronized". This process Oauth's your Salesforce account to Sendoso in order to allow us to post activities for you.
These are the fields that we update within Salesforce:
If activities are not posting, then it's best to see if you have any Salesforce workflow rules preventing certain activities from getting added.

2. Are you sending it from Sendoso.com?
If you are initiating the send from Sendoso.com, then you MUST add in the recipient's email address (as listed in Salesforce) in order for us to be able to sync it back to thecontact/lead record in Salesforce.

Why Didn't Salesforce Triggered Touch Work?
Here are some common ways to troubleshoot your Salesforce triggered touch.
1. Check the error logs:
Users can log in into Sendoso then go to Integrations tab to check error logs. Here they can see reason codes for failed sends and manually retry the failed sends.
Some common failure reasons decoded:
Salesforce time out
Salesforce Server is down
Inventory is less than order
Incorrect mailing information (Missing Street, City, State, ETC)
Payment issue
ACTION: User can retry any of these failures in the Salesforce error logs and Sendoso will fetch information again and will retry to send to those recipients.
What to do when the failure does not appear here in the Error Logs:
Send in a ticket to and we can look into it.
Other Common Errors:
If salesforce status wasnt synced then first check how the gift was sent
If through CSV check that the Contact/Lead ID is right
If gift was sent through any other type then check type user. Sendoso only entertains the Contact and Lead users and there have been many cases where gift was sent to Account and Sendoso isn't able to sync that.
Check-in Analytics that the Salesforce activity is synced and status is updated
Check the integration page and Sync error logs
If there is any error of limit exceed or bulk request you can retry
If there is permission error youcan'tretry unless you fix the api permission (may need to contact engineering at this point)
If status wasn't updated go check the tracking page that status has been mapped correctly because Sendoso doesn't send any blank mapped status
If salesforce activity wasn't created go and check the activity setting is Yes for that specific status in tracking page
If Status wasn't updated correctly check in the contact record that Salesforce task has been created successfully against that status

To get started, click on the Teams tab or click here.
Creating Groups enables you to assign certain Touches to specific Groups, set Group limits, and see reporting based on Groups.
To create a Group, enter in the Group Name. Create as many Groups as you'd like.
Click Group Settings
Click "Enable Salesforce User Settings" and then click Save Settings
Now, a new button will appear next to the Group Name. Click "Salesforce User Settings"
The final step is to select Salesforce User Roles that link to related Sendoso groups. Sendoso will automatically invite all users with that following Role(s) to the related Sendoso Group, and if any changes (additions or deletions) from Salesforce, Sendoso will automatically update accordingly.
The user will receive an invite notification via email.

First, a Sendoso Manager user will create a manual touch in Sendoso and assign it to the groups they want to have the ability to send the touch.

Next, download the Sendoso chrome extension by going to
Once downloaded, you'll see it appear in your website header with your other extensions.
Go into your HubSpot account and choose a contact you'd like to send a gift. If the Sendoso icon is enabled in your browser, you should see 2 different Sendoso icons in HubSpot. Use these interchangeably as they both open the Sendoso chrome extension window and perform the same tasks.
Open the chrome extension and you will see all touches that have been assigned to you. Click on the icon of the gift you'd like to send.
When you select your gift, next screen will populate the email address or mailing address from the contact's details depending on if the gift is a physical gift or an eGift.
Click send and you're done!
To see the status of your gift, check the contact's activity feed for updates of when the gift is shipped, delivered, etc. and when the eGift is open, clicked, used, etc.

1. Find the touch that you want to send

3. Map all the relevant fields from your CSV.
Important note for syncing to Salesforce, you will either need to map the recipient's Email Address or Salesforce Contact/Lead ID in order for Sendoso to push the activity over to the correct records in Salesforce.
4. After you've finished mapping the fields, the final step is to build your message and generate the live previews before you click send.
5. Once you click Send, Sendoso will handle the rest!
Most common errors that you may run into and how to troubleshoot -
1. Missing the leading 0 in your zipcodes
You may have some addresses with a zip code that starts with a 0, due to the nature of excel and csvs, the 0 could be lost when uploading the file. Here are some common ways to check and correct your file.

2.Merge Variable Error Checker
If a mail merge variable is left empty and <<>>, <>, or [] are left present when sending, our system alerts that this is occurring and generates an error prior to sending.
As you can see in the screenshot, the blue arrow is pointing to row number, which identifies where the issue is occurring. The yellow arrow points to where you can confirm whether or not this is correct. The pink arrow points to the text box and where you can identify where the error is occuring and edit if necessary.
In order to continue, you must either confirm this is correct or make an edit to this. You will then be asked to confirm the number of recipients, and successfully send.
3. "Please Upload a UTF-8 Encoded CSV File"
This error will pop up if you have not saved the file in the correct format, or if there are special characters that are not allowed in the file. You may run into other formatting issues but to see the exact error you can visit csvlint.io to troubleshoot.
Tip - If you copy the data from your excel file and re-upload it on to Google Sheets, then download the CSV, this will solve 90% of all issues UTF-8 issues. You can visit sheet.new to easily open up a new google sheet.
Missing Headers or Columns must contain a name - (on Troubleshooting)
You may run into an error where the CSV list is missing a header name, in this case you need to check for any columns that may be missing a header name or delete any excess columns that don't have relevant information.

You can create multiple notecards with different designs and messaging to meet your needs. Once they are set up, you will be able to send them with all of your physical bundles.
Step 1 - Create a new product & select "Printed Notecards"

Step 2 - Choose the size and card specifications
Tip - We suggest providing as much detail as possible in the name section so that it's easy for you to remember what it is. Otherwise, you could end up in a situation where you're trying to figure out what the difference between White Paper A & White Paper B are :)
Step 3 - Customizing the notecard
You can customize your notecard in a couple of different ways:
1. Text - This text will show up on every single notecard, you can use this for footers or any additional notes that you need included with every note card.
2. Custom Text - This is the part where your reps can add custom text to include at the time of the send. You can leave this blank so your end users can fill this in.
3. Image - We recommend including a graphic on the notecard, the most common of which would be to include your company logo.
4. Rich Text Editor - This is a more advanced text box that will allow you to fix the text and add variable fields, colors for text and additional text features.
Last Step - Preview your notecard to make sure you approve of how it looks. To start sending, update any new/existing bundles with this newly printed notecard so that you can start sending them right away!

Step One: Add New Product
Navigate to the Inventory tab and click Create New Products and select Physical Products

Product Name: First, you will need to name your product (Tip: be as specific as possible when naming your products, it will make it much easier for you to keep track of inventory if you know that "Sushi Case Study" is out of stock vs "White Paper 1"
Select Warehouse: We will default to creating items for our main warehouse facility in Las Vegas, NV. If you want to send items to international warehouses, then please contact your CSM.
Cost Per Item (Optional): For items that you send through the Sendoso warehouse, we will only charge you for Pick & Pack (assembly), Postage, handwritten notes and the cost of Packaging Materials. However, if you want to inflate the costs to the senders, then we can charge them an additional cost for sending one item over another. (Please reach out to your CSM for more info)
Example: instead of charging $15 for shipping a Patagonia jacket, you inflate the price by $50 and that money gets refunded back to your funding source.
Packaging Material?: Please check this box if you are sending over materials that will be used specifically for packaging your boxes/bundles.
Product Image and Product Icon:This is what gets displayed to our warehouse for receiving purposes and for your end users. It's a great idea to include a photo so that your users can see a photo of what they are going to send.
Step Three - Have Sendoso Source & Re-Stock This For You
Sendoso has a great team of project managers that you can utilize to source and restock your inventory. When you're creating a new product, you can decide whether or not you'd like Sendoso to take care of all the re-ordering for you in the future. All you need to do is check the "Have Sendoso Source This For You" option and enter in your ordering instructions.
Number of Items to Order: How many items do you want Sendoso to initially source for you?
Confirmation Email: What email would you like us to coordinate the order with?
Ordering Instructions: Depending on what you're ordering, you may have specific requests from us or the vendors. I.E. if you're ordering printed books, do you want to use saddle-stitched binding or perfect binding? Don't worry if you're not sure, you can leave it blank and our project managers will discuss it with you!
Preapprove Sendoso to automatically reorder:You'll also have an option to include reorder instructions for when your inventory runs low.
Low inventory threshold:When your inventory runs below this number, this will trigger the re-order request.
Number of items to reorder:This is the number of items we will re-order for you when we meet the low inventory threshold.

To delete a touch youll want to click on the Touches tab.
Select the three dots to the right of the touch youd like to delete and then click Edit.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Edit page and then click on the three dots in the left-hand corner and select Delete.
Deleting Funding Sources
To delete a funding source youll click on the Account Balances tab. Under "Funding Sources", click on the trash can next to the source youd like to delete. Select the source from the drop-down and then click on delete.
When you delete the funding source, you will get a prompt to reassign the unused balance to a new funding source along with any touchesassociated with that funding source.
You can always look up deleted funding sources in the "Archived Funding Sources" section
Deleting Users
To delete a user click on the Teams tab. Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Team section. Click on the Delete button next to the team member youd like to remove.
Upon pressing delete, you will be prompted to move all existing account balance to a new user or to a funding source.
We will save all of the data from the deleted users and you can always re-activate a user from the "Trash" page in the team section.
*It is important to remember that you are unable to delete a user, touch or funding source if any orders are processing. Nor can a team be deleted until all users are removed from the team.*
View ArticleYou can create individualized and team templates for all of your touches to make sure that your messaging and branding are all aligned. These templates work for all types of sending options including handwritten notes, printed-on-demand collateral, Post-It notes, printed notecards, and eGifts.
To get started, please make sure you have at least one touch that you want to connect to your template. (Every template can only be associated with one touch.)
Step One: To get started, navigate to the templates tab:
Step Two: You will need to "Create New" template and select the associated touch that you want to create the template for.
Side Note: if you want to include a banner for your eGift send, you can upload a 620px by 86px banner. Here's a GIF of how it works!
Step Three: Once you've selected the touch, you can start drafting up your message! By default, all templates are shared with the team unless you check the "Private Template" option.
Step Four (Optional): You can also set up dynamic variables from Salesforce, pulling from your own Salesforce instance (Make sure you are synced to Salesforce beforehand!). Click "Insert Salesforce Field" to get started.
You can copy the <<salesforce-field>> and paste it to your template, below is an example of what a finished template may look like:
Step Five: Once you save the template, Senders will be able access the public templates and can click on the template drop-down when they go to send:
Then they can click on the "Preview Salesforce Fields" button:
And then the Template will be fully populated with the fields from Salesforce.

When Touch Is Set to Send from Sender's Balance and the Manager has Insufficient Funds, we will now prompt them with the funding sources they can use to complete the send!
Extending Permissions to Regular Users to Add Funding for Campaigns
When Touch Is Set to Send from Funding Source, managers can now allow the option for regular users to generate invoices or charge their credit card if the funds are insufficient.
If the box ischecked then the senders will be able to generate invoices or charge the credit card to complete their sends
If the box isunchecked then the senders will be blocked from adding more funds to the funding source
If There's Insufficient Funding Source Funds - Check with the User to Use Personal Balance
When Touch Is Set to Send from Funding Source, but there's insufficient funds and the Manager user has not allowed regular users to add funding to the funding source, we will now prompt regular users touse their personal balance so they can complete the send!

Go to Settings > General > Integration.
Click on the "Create Data Source" button and select Sendoso.
Confirm "Is Active" toggle is turned on and click the "Save" button.
You will be redirected to log-into your Sendoso admin account.
Auser-level integrationwhich any user that wants to access their own account balances and gifts will need to set-up.
Go to Settings > My Profile > Connected Accounts.
Click on the "Connect" button for Sendoso which will give you a pop-up.
Select "Connect Account" and you will be redirected to authorize your Sendoso account.
Once completed, you will receive a confirmation that you can close out.
After connecting, you will have the option to toggle the "Require Approval" for the specific user account.
Important Notes About Set-Up:
An individual user does not need to connect their Sendoso account to use the Sendoso step in PlayMaker. OnceanySendoso account is set-up in Engagio, any Engagio user can add the step, but will only be able to send and select physical gifts/mailers from connected Sendoso users.
Executing the Sendoso Physical Gift / Mailer Step in PlayMaker
This step's purpose is to send a physical gift or mailer from a Sendoso account to a target.
1.Select a Player on "Their Team" ("To") from the drop-down.
2.Select a Player on "Our Team" ("From") from the drop-down. The selected user here will determine which touches you will be able to select.
3.Select a "Touch" from the dropdown to send. The gift and mailer choices displayed here are any available to your account and marked as deliverable by mail on the Sendoso side.
4.Select a "Send To" address from the dropdown for the gift or mailer to be sent. The drop-down includes three options pulled from Salesforce:
Company Billing Address
Company Shipping Address
Personal Address of Recipient
You also have the option to enter a Custom Address for one-time use by clicking the marked link. You will be presented with the following pop-up:
5.An "Approver" is optional and will only appear if toggled on under Connected Accounts (see set-up).
6.Enter acustom messagein the text box to be delivered with the physical gift or mailer.
The recipient of the physical gift or mailer will become part of Sendoso's flow immediately following the execution of the step and will be visible in the Sendoso dashboard of the sender.

Note - if you want a custom looking box but you plan to send lots of different sizes items then one thing Sendoso can do is help you order custom stickers that can be stuck to cardboard shipping boxes to give you a custom look and feel at an affordable price point.
# 2) Shipping Boxes. These range from $3-8 each depending on quantity and cardboard material and take 1-2 weeks to be manufactured and ready for shipping. You can simply upload your own logo or use an Adobe Illustrator template to custom design the entire box (recommended).
# 3) Custom premium mailerBoxes. These are designed and manufactured from scratch and can be as custom as you'd like. These usually include custom insert trays too. These range from $5-$150 each depending on quantity, design, and materials and take 2-6 weeks to be manufactured and ready for shipping. Youwill work closely with us to develop and design the perfect custom mailer box.
Examples:
#4) Bags/Envelopes. Another alternative to custom boxes is poly shipping bags/envelopes. These can work well for soft goods like Tshirts. These can also be customized and imprinted with your logo or design.
#5) Custom Packing Tape. This is another great way to brand your package.

We work with different vendors to keep select wine and champagne options in stock and to allow our users to send on demand! You can rest easy knowing that all wine shipments are alwayspackaged in special shell packaging to protect your shipments from getting damaged in transit.
Setting up the touch -
1. Login to your Sendoso account and navigate to the Touches page (Manager users only) and click on the Create New Touch option to get started.
2. Scroll towards the bottom (under the Sendoso Direct section) and select the "Wine/Champagne" option
3.Next, you can select from all of our available wines and champagnes (displayed on the left hand side). When you check off one of the options, they get moved over to the right hand column, and these are the options that get displayed to your users!
In addition, you can choose to include a handwritten note by checking the box "Include Note Card"
4. You also have the capability to include additional products in the bundle!
*These products must be inventoried in our Union City warehouse. Please contact [email protected] if you wish to move some of your inventory to this warehouse
5. Once you complete the rest of the touch set up, your users will be able to start sending these wines and champagnes!
View ArticleYou can set up custom shipping methods to give senders the ability to decide if they want to expedite a direct mailer or gift that may be important or time sensitive. This feature is fully customizable per Touch.
1. If you create a new direct mail touch, you'll see the option to adjust the shipping methods:
2. You can decide if you want to set the shipping method for all senders or let the sender decide on the shipping method at the time of sending.
By default, we set the shipping method to "Sendoso Optimized Shipping" which looks at the package size/weight and the recipient's address destination and determines the optimal carrier based on cost/time.
As you can see in the screenshot above, if you need to expedite a shipment, you can allow senders to choose options like two day or overnight shipping.
3. If you decide to let the Sender select the shipping method then the sender will have the drop-down shipping option enabled:

The Teams page allows managers to keep track of their teams finances and capabilities.
Groups
This subsection of the Teams page lists out all of the companys different teams that have been created on Sendoso. For each team, the user can add/edit members and delete the whole team. They can also view and edit the groups settings, account balance, and salesforce settings:

Users can also filter out groups by searching for users in them by their email or first name.
If you want toset more granular rules about how and when users can send via Sendoso or other integrations, you can configure that in the Group Settings.

2. Click on the Group Settings button.
Invite Users to Groups
In this subsection, users can add other users directly to existing groups with their email. If the user wants to add a large amount of other users to the same group, they can simply generate an invite key or upload a CSV file with the new users information instead of adding them one by one.
For added security, users can also have Sendoso validate that all new user signups have the same email domain as the user who invites them.
* Invites will stay active for 24 hours, after that you will have to navigate to the teams page and re-send the invite link *
Here's a step by step
Assign Groups to Touches
Here, users will be able to assign individual groups to individual touches as well as see which individual groups are already assigned to which individual touches.
The touches displayed defaults to all touches but can be filtered by their status, which is any of the following:
Active
Scheduled
Completed
Paused - NO INVENTORY
Set Group Limits
This subsection of the Teams page is split into two sections: Monthly Budget and One-Time Budget.
If set to Monthly Budget, users can assign a Monthly Budget Limit that will apply to each individual member on the team. They can also set the budget rules for their teams, which is a choice between letting the users unused balance roll over to the next month or resetting the balance to match the established monthly budget every month.
If set to One-Time Budget, users can add an account balance to each member of their teams. Unlike Monthly Budget, these account balances will not refill until someone with manager access assigns money to the different teams manually.
Team Account Balances
The Team Account Balances subsection allows the user to hone in on members of specific teams and add or remove money to their accounts. This differs from the Set Group Limits subsection because Set Group Limits does not allow for variability in team members budgets, whereas Team Account Balances does.
Team
The Team subsection lists out all members in the company who have a Sendoso account by their email, name, status, and role. It gives the user the ability to change roles, for instance, from regular user to manager, and it also gives the user the ability to delete team members from the platform altogether.
Users can filter out names by group as well as email and first name.
All of the information above about team members data can be put into a CSV file and sent over to the user via email if they click Download to CSV.

Sent:When an eGift is Sent. This is immediately after you click on the Send button.
Opened:When an eGift email is viewed.
Clicked: When an eGift link is clicked and then the eGift redemption page is displayed.
Used: When an eGift card is clicked on the redemption page and the barcode/number is displayed to the recipient for use. This does not indicate when the user actually uses the egift, only that they generated the code.
Bounced and Credited: If an eGift is sent to a bad email address then we refund the $ amount immediately.
Expired and Credited:After 21 days if the eGift is still in Sent status and has not yet been Opened then we will issue a credit back to the sender's account.
Refunded:If a Sendoso Account Manager needs to manually refund and/or cancel something that was sent.
Direct Mail / Tangible Gifts Status':
Processing: When a physical item send needs time to be processed in our warehouse before it can be Shipped.
Shipped: When aphysical item/gift is shipped and in-transit.
Delivered:When a physical item/gift is delivered to the recipients' location.
Returned To Sender: When a physical item/gift is unable to be delivered (bad address data or missing information) and is returned to our warehouse.
Refunded:If a Sendoso Account Manager needs to manually refund and/or cancel something that was sent.
Handwritten Note Status':
Processing:When a handwritten note needs time to be processed before it can be Mailed.
Mailed:When a handwritten note is mailed out.
Refunded:If a Sendoso Account Manager needs to manually refund and/or cancel something that was sent.
