Listening to their subordinates and hear what they had to say about a situation. And also to not curse at them and keep it professional.
Compensation didn't reflect the revenue-driving work I did in the field. Bonus goals were set at levels that felt virtually unreachable, discouraging rather than motivating. Vague reviews made raises hard to justify. Real responsibility, limited recognition or pay to match it.

Coworkers should default to trust and transparency instead of distrust, respond to requests for help instead of going silent, and collaborate across territories without pressuring others to take on work outside their scope. Consistent communication would go a long way.
