I felt undervalued because my compensation didn’t reflect my workload, expertise, or the emotional labor required to exist as a woman of color in that environment. I was expected to go above and beyond without acknowledgment, while others were rewarded for simply maintaining the status quo.
Stronger base compensation would be great. We tend to run pretty lean and are VERY busy. I feel like base compensation doesn't always reflect the value of the talent.
