There's a lot of legacy code to come up to speed on. If our team wasn't as helpful as they are, no one would ever be able to onboard.

It was surprisingly relaxed. They are looking for people who fit the culture, and if you were a little light on experience, but willing to work above your weight-class, then you're going to be fine.

We're very open to working from home. We all tend to get more work done when we can communicate with our coworkers in person, but most people work at least one day a week from home.

The rule that we've adhered to was that we only drug test if there's an issue with your performance at work.

For us, culture is nearly as important as proficiency. If you seem like you can contribute to a positive work environment and you have enough experience, you'll do well.

I'd say we get excellent benefits. Health, dental, optical, Verizon discounts, etc.

When I started, the program was in its infancy. The program was very hands-on. They would give you a task, and your job was to ask tons of questions, fail fast, and learn by doing. I was treated just like any other employee. All of my coworkers, and especially my mentor, we're always available and happy to help me learn and succeed.
