You get budget if it is required for your job and/or its important for the business.
If there is a need, there is always a budget. As long as it makes business sense, the stakeholders are more than willing to evaluate putting more resources into it.
How challenged are you at Slashdot Media?
Very challenged. New obstacles are met every single day.
What kind of people succeed at Slashdot Media?
The people who have drive and determination to self-learn. Ability to learn and adapt is very important, and as long as you don't make too many mistakes, you can find a lot of success at Slashdot Media.
Does your office environment help with your creativity?
Office environment is definitely a huge positive working here. We have so many tools at our disposable that it's hard to contain all the creativity that wants to come out!
do you agree with the overall marketing strategy there?
The marketing department is under new reigns and is going to be utilizing all the data and tech there is available today to continue to improve upon the marketing strategy that was already in place. Older strategies are getting pushed to the wayside and new ones are being implemented to grow the business, while also being able to exceed customer expectations.
