SMC as a global company has a great product that sells itself. SMC USA has inherent problems specifically at the top. Pay below market average and lack of retention incentive breeds an incompetent workforce. Good as a stepping stone, you will learn a lot. Not much else.

Very suffocating culture with very strict rules that make day to day work really difficult

I worked for SMC for almost 20 years total. Absolutely the best company I’ve ever worked for!!

The work is solid and the pace is comfortable without being slow.

They have a strong commitment to offering good benefits and will authorize extra paid days and half days for nearly the entire work force occasionally to celebrate holidays.

They need to be more transparent and better at communicating and actually do the things they say they will

My medical benefits are fully paid for by the company for myself and my dependents!

They pay everyone really low, very undervalued, other companies in this area pay better.

The people are the best part of this company. There are some extremely talented and promising individuals at the lower and mid level. Unfortunately the company does not pay enough to retain them.

The building has climate control, it is kept very clean for a warehouse/factory, and I am trusted to do my job (no micro-managing).

They were flexable with times for me to come in to complete the interview

The work itself is very interesting and engaging. . . when we have work.

They trust me to do my job well and I am given respect.
