Mr. Michael Fenton Goss, also known as Mike, has been Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Sotheby's since March 28, 2016. Mr. Goss serves as the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Brookside Capital Management, LLC. Mr. Goss serves as a Managing Director of Absolute Return Capital, LLC. He was the Managing Director and Head of Global Investor Relations at Bain Capital Private Equity from 2012 to December 2013 and was involved in global human resources, legal and investor relations activities. He served as a Managing Director of Sankaty Advisors, LLC. He served as the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Bain Capital, LLC from joining in 2001 to 2011 and served as its Chief Operating Officer from 2004 to 2011. He was responsible for capital raising activities and client relationship matters at Bain Capital. He focused exclusively on Bain Capital's Investor Relations efforts. Mr. Goss served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Digitas Inc., which he helped take public in March 2000. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Playtex Products, LLC He served as the Vice President of Corporate Development and Treasurer at Oak Industries. He served as Senior Associate at Bain Capital from 1987 to 1989. He served as Vice President, Corporate Development and Treasurer at Corning Oak Holding Inc. He has been independent of Platform Specialty Products Corporation since October 31, 2013. He serves as a Director of Tennis Channel Inc., International Tennis Hall of Fame, Kansas State University Foundation and Tenacity Inc. Mr. Goss serves as a Director at Bain Capital Private Equity, Bain Capital India Integral Mauritius and Bain Capital India Investments. He served as Director of China Fire & Security Group, Inc., until November 9, 2011. He served as a Director of Playtex Products, LLC. He received a B.S. in Economics magna cum laude from Kansas State University in 1981 and an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Business School in 1986.
