Stanford University Leadership Employee Reviews

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Accountability of Managers. Also, define Manager in the question

making me feel my contribution makes a difference

I'm new and do not have much to say.

Transparency, enthusiasm for the mission and university, and caring about employees

What I like best about the leadership team is the culture of striving towards excellence while making a huge effort to follow the closed circle communication of keeping all informed.

Very welcoming, inclusive and supports growth.

I am a CRC so I think I only have one person on my leadership team, my PI. He has high expectations and wants us to work hard but he also seems to really care about us as persons which is nice.

Their steadfast vision, empathy, compassion, and dedication to the organization and the patients

They take every suggestion and advice seriously to contemplate.

The leadership team seems to care about individual employees.

I've only just started in October 2021, so I'm still grasping the hang of things. I have yet to personally met the executive leadership team. That being said, I am quite pleased on how things are going and where they are heading.

Everyone treats me with compassion and care. From the onboarding process, it was a 1-on-1 and she tried to answer all my questions and concerns. Then, there was the Welcome and Benefits virtual event. I feel like the university is trying to help people grow in this place.

I don't have anything at this time.

I like that they seem to really care about people.

They care about me as a person.

They are compassionate and approachable.

Feels like a community and less like a coworkers. More like Leader and less like bosses.

Shared vision for our unit mission

I think they do a good job with communication

Caring, Compassionate and have Empathy. This Department & Team care about their employees. Respectful Workplace.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Critical staffing shortages make the onboarding process and workload unsustainable, in turn creating and perpetuating staff burnout. When department metrics are discussed, they are only in the terms of faculty. This leaves out a large portion of the labor force that is also at risk of burnout.

Transparency, diversity, inclusion and belonging

Leadership does not invest in the well-being and ling-term employment prospects of the employee. HR is a nightmare and extremely insensitive and unsupportive. There is no respect for diversity, inclusion, and equity. There's a lot of talk about DEI but no one walks the talk.
