Executive Bio
Mr. Anthony Carey serves as an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for State Street Global Services In Europe, The Middle East and Africa at State Street Corporation. Mr. Carey serves as Managing Director of State Street's Poland operations. Mr. Carey assumed responsibility for the integration of the business, which was successfully completed in late 2012. He joined State Street in January 2008. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, having spent eight years in public practice with both KPMG in Ireland and subsequently PWC in the Channel Islands. He joined Chase Manhattan Bank in 1990 to help create their investment services business in Ireland following the local adoption of the European UCITS legislation. He stayed with Chase, which subsequently merged with J.P. Morgan, until December 2007 and held various roles during his tenure, including Managing Director for Ireland and Chief Operating Officer for European fund administration. Mr. Carey has participated in various industry bodies and held the position of Chairman of the Irish Funds Industry Association. He serves as Director of State Street Corporation's Italian banking entity. Mr. Carey has been a Non-Executive Director at Euroclear plc and Euroclear SA/NV ('ESA') since July 12, 2016. Mr. Carey is a fellow of the chartered association of certified accountants (FCCA).
