Executive Bio
Mr. Paul Fleming has been Global Head of Securities Finance and Executive Vice President of State Street Corporation since February 3rd 2016. Mr. Fleming served as Senior Vice President of State Street Corporation until February 3rd 2016. Mr. Fleming is responsible for the global strategic direction and operations of both the agency and principal lending programs. Mr. Fleming began his career in Securities Finance, at State Street in 2001. Prior to being the global head of securities finance, Mr. Fleming managed Enhanced Custody which allows alternative asset managers and investors to add a custody-based complement to existing prime brokerage relationships as well as a unique form of financing in an evolving regulatory environment. The product integrates securities lending and custody, two of State Street's core competencies, into a full-service platform that offers clients the ability to borrow securities from State Street as principal and finance their borrowing activities in several ways, including lending securities through our agency lending program. Mr. Fleming oversaw the functions that support product engineering, business development and client service and trading. Mr. Fleming holds a bachelor of arts from Colby College and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society.
