Gunnar Breivik — Group Head of Corporate Investigation at Statoil ASA

Mr. Gunnar Breivik has been Group Head of Corporate Investigation at Statoil ASA since October 2015. Mr. Breivik served as the Managing Director of Statoil Production UK at Statoil ASA (alternate name, StatoilHydro ASA) until October 2015. He served as Senior Vice President for Health Safety and The Environment at Statoil ASA (alternate name, StatoilHydro ASA) since November 10, 2008 and also served as its Executive Vice President of corporate staffs, services and Health, Safety & Environment Cluster since November 1, 2008. He served as an Acting Executive Vice President of Corporate staffs and services of Statoil ASA until November 10, 2008. He served as Senior Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment Cluster of Statoil ASA. Mr. Breivik was employed by Phillips Petroleum before he started working for Norsk Hydro in 1985. He held a number of positions in Hydro Oil & Energy, including managerial positions such as Platform Manager and Field Manager, before he took over as Head of HSE in the operations organisation of Hydro Oil & Energy in 2001, a position he held until the merger with Statoil took effect in October 2007. He served as a Director of The United Kingdom Offshore Oil & Gas Industry Association Lim until October 1, 2015. Mr. Breivik completed his Chemical Engineering studies as a Chartered Engineer at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in 1981.
