Mr. Rune Bjoernson serves as Marketing & Trading Senior Vice President at Statoil ASA. Mr. Bjoernson served as an Executive Vice President, Natural Gas of Statoil ASA since March 2007 and also served as its Vice President of Natural Gas since August 31, 2004. Mr. Bjrnson came from the position of Senior Vice President for Supply and Transport in Statoil's Natural Gas business area. Mr. Bjrnson served as Managing Director of Statoil's operations in the UK from 2001 to 2003. Since 1990, he has held a number of executive positions in the natural gas area, and he also performed market analysis work for the group when he joined Statoil in 1985. From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Bjrnson was chair of the Gas Negotiating Committee (GFU). He has an MSc in Economics from the University of Bergen.
