Oppressive but enjoy working with my peers. Work is physical, which I like. I enjoy interacting with customers and co-worker. Management tends to micro manage those exchanges, as well.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We work well together....my observation is we work better together without some managers who tend to micro manage, a common issue across the floor.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The management team needs training on how to LEAD a team. Leading a team requires building them up...not tearing them down. This is counter productive and will cost the company money due to high turnover.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Hugh McColl was once quoted as saying, 'If you take care of your associates, your associates will take care of your customers and your customers will take care of your bottom line.' Speaking to associates with disrespect on an open floor fosters low moral which eventually costs the company profits
