Mr. Jay Peir serves as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy at Tableau Software, Inc., and served as its Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy. Mr. Peir served as a Vice President of Corporate Development at Tableau Software, Inc. since November 2011. Mr. Peir served as the Chief Financial Officer of Sunpower Corporation since April 2003. Prior to SunPower, he was at Cypress Semiconductor, where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, as well as the management of the Cypress Venture Fund. Mr. Peir has also worked for a diverse set of technology companies including Microsoft, Inktomi and several venture-funded start-ups, primarily in business development and product management roles. Mr. Peir started his career at Cornerstone Research, where he consulted Fortune 500 management and legal counsel on major economic and financial issues arising in corporate litigation. Mr. Peir holds three Degrees from Stanford University including a M.B.A., a M.S. in Electrical Engineering, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. In his technical programs, he received the Terman Award for graduating in the top five percent of all engineers.
