What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Company does not care about the employees. All employees have bachelor's, some have masters, and a few even have a phd. Starting salary is $30,500. In over a year, there has only been 1 promotion to low level management and less than a half dozen minor promotions within the department.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
$30,500 starting salary. Department has 50 people ahead of you and promotions have nothing to do with performance, only tenure and relationship with management. Yearly raise 3% if youre lucky.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Co-workers are all great. Everybody is extremely smart and over qualified.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Read books all day, so little interaction with others. Monthly metrics meeting with you first line supervisor.

What did you like most about the interview process?
Two interviews. One with panel of lower managers and one with the big boss. They ask standard questions and are mainly looking to see if you can handle reading a book 40 hours a week and you are a decent person.
