Unprofessional and small minded, power hungry unintelligent people

Good pay, good medical plans
Having insurance at all at this point is a plus

Health benefits need to be improved
Very low benefit package. For extra work you get anything
Overcharged for benefits, the company will offer you "hush money" because they know the benefits cost more than what an engineer should have to pay on their pay.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The camaraderie is the best I've experienced anywhere
people in my team who were skilled

A top-down restructure should be sought.

How well everyone supports each other
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Invest in competent people who have idea how the development work
Communication, direction, and motivation from management. Career development for the average employee.
With the current management, there is no way to make it better.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Fire incompetent people and hire true business specialists
Short sighted decisions from the executive level.
The manager goes to work after drinking, often goes home early because he is still hungover. The environment is not friendly to individuals who have certain views on matters.
