Yes! If you make a cash purchase go to the Rewards page, then to the "More" section (or scroll down if there isn't a "More" button) and click the 'Send photo of receipt' button to send in a photo of your receipt. Make sure the location address, date, amount, and method of payment are clear in the photo to ensure quick processing.
View ArticleIt should be the receipt for payment, not the check (for restaurants, for example, this would be the receipt you get for your payment, not the itemized list of what you purchased presented to you before you pay). Our team needs to verify your payment type, which can help us identify why your credit didn't show up automatically.Additionally, make sure the date and amount of purchase are included on the receipt. If the receipt shows the location address, be sure to include this in the photo as well.
It should be only one receipt. We do not accept photos with numerous receipts attached to them.
Be sure you select the proper payment type. We ask that you select the card you paid with (or cash, gift card, etc). If you paid with an American Express, MasterCard or Visa, be sure you have registered that card or your receipt will not be approved.
Our policy is to accept receipts going back as far as 2 weeks before you joined. Some merchants may choose to extend this period.
Some purchases can be delayed. If you enroll a card and immediately make a purchase with it (or enroll it immediately after making one) we may not receive a realtime notification from Visa/MasterCard/Amex. In these cases, the credit may still arrive after a few days. In such cases, we may not review your receipt until after this period has expired.
Purchases made through third-party ordering apps or websites will not be accepted. Only purchases made directly through the merchant are eligible to earn reward progress.
View ArticleThere are two different ways to redeem your reward: in-store redemption and automatic redemption (which applies the reward directly back to your card after you make your purchase). If your reward has 'Redeem' on it: Click on the reward and then click the 'Redeem in Store' button. The app will ask you if you are sure that you want to redeem the reward. Click the 'Continue' button and present the reward to a staff member who will apply the reward for you. If you see a barcode on the next screen, either you or a staff member must scan your barcode to redeem your reward. Be careful to not hit the 'Mark as used' button, as this will make the reward disappear from your account.If your reward has an 'Activate' on it: Click on the reward and then click the 'Activate' button. This reward will be applied to the next eligible purchase that you make with a registered credit card (check the reward for any restrictions). If you use a debit card, DO NOT use the PIN when making your purchase. After you make your purchase, you will be notified that your reward was applied and you will be able to see your discount on your credit/debit card statement within one week.

To log into your account on the app, enter the email address you signed up with, click 'next', and go to your email app on your phone (don't use your computer to access the email). Click on the email sent from Thanx with the subject line 'Sign in to your Thanx account' and then click the 'Sign in to Thanx' button. This will take you to an internet browser - click the 'Open' button and you will be brought to your Thanx app where you will be able to access your account. If clicking the link from the email doesn't bring you to a browser where you can click the 'Open' button, start the process over and instead of clicking the link in the email, copy the link and paste it into a browser.Once you're logged in, you can click the button in the bottom right of the screen, click 'Account' from the menu, and then edit your email address.

When you register your card with the app, your card number is encrypted and sent directly from your phone to Visa, MasterCard, etc. They mark your card as enrolled and send us a notification when you use it to make a purchase at a participating location.We never know or even see your credit card. We will not and cannot charge your card, nor can your card be stolen from us - we do not have it.All data sent to and from your phone is encrypted.
View ArticleWhen you enroll a card with the app we send the card number directly from your phone to the card network (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) and they enroll it. They then notify us that your card was enrolled (they don't send us the card number itself).
When you attempt to add a card, it's possible that the card network will reject it, and the messaging returned as to why can be somewhat vague for security purposes. Here are some reasons that may result in your card being rejected:
Your card is already enrolled. This often happens when two people share a card. It also often happens when you already have an account (for example, you signed up a month or two ago and then signed up again accidentally). If you suspect you may have two accounts, reach out to our support team so we can assist you.
If your enrolled card has expired and you try to enroll a new card with the same card number, your new card will be rejected. Once you remove your expired card from your account, you will be able to enroll your new card.
Your card is not supported. We do not currently accept Discover cards. Some Visa, MasterCard, and Amex cards may be rejected if they are pre-paid, corporate, or issued outside the US. This isn't up to us; it's the policies of the card networks. We do not currently support Apple Card. If you use a card that you are unable to enroll with your account, please submit your receipts through the app and we'll make sure to credit your account.

View ArticleTo redeem a reward without a smartphone, log into your account at mobile.thanx.com/login using your email address and password. Once you are logged in, click on your available reward and then click either 'redeem' (for manually redeemable rewards) or 'activate' (for statement credit rewards). If your reward has 'Redeem' on it: If you click 'Redeem', it will ask you if you are ready to redeem it. Click 'Ok' and you will be brought to a screen with a countdown clock (some rewards have a coupon code on them as well). Print this page out and show it to a staff member before making your purchase (let them know that you do not have a smartphone). They will take the printed reward and manually apply your reward to your order. If your reward has 'Activate' on it: If you click 'activate', the screen will refresh and say 'Activated'. Now, all you have to do is make a purchase with the card registered to your Thanx account, and the reward will be applied to your credit card within the week. You will be able to see the reward as a credit on the card statement for the card you used.
Note: This policy can vary by merchant.

In order to redeem rewards with 'Redeem' on them, you must show the reward to a staff member or scan your reward at a pay station to receive your discount.If your reward has 'Activate' on it: Your discount will be applied as a credit on your credit card within a week of when you used that credit card to make your purchase.If you did not activate your reward before your purchase or did not use a registered credit card, your reward will not be applied. View ArticleYou can send us a receipt from within the app. From the rewards page, click on "Send photo of receipt" (depending on your operating system, it may be under the 'More' tab). From that page, attach a photo, fill out the amount, date, and payment type and hit 'Submit Receipt'.
View ArticleIf you make a purchase and don't get credit for it automatically, you can send us a snapshot of the receipt from the app. Go to the Reward page and click on the "Send photo of receipt" button (depending on your operating system, it might be under the "more" tab).
Take a snapshot of your receipt to attach it; be sure that it's legible and well lit so our team can read it- we need to see the location address, date, amount, and method of payment.

We try and review receipts within 24 hours. Depending on the volume it may take as long as 72 hours to approve your receipt. Holidays can also affect this turn around time.
Note: if you click the 'Upload Photo' button and nothing happens, go to your phone settings to check whether or not your phone allows the app to access your camera and photos.

If you use cash or another credit card, you may send in your receipt to earn progress. When you send in your receipt, our support team will confirm that it is a valid receipt, and then process the receipt for you.For some merchants, online or e-commerce purchases are not supported at this time. Please check the merchant's specific FAQs on their website to confirm whether or not online/e-commerce purchases count toward reward progress.

You can register as many cards as you like.
At this time you can earn progress with Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Some cards may not accrue progress (the card companies sometimes don't send us notifications for pre-paid cards, cards issued outside the US, etc). If that happens, just send us a snapshot of the receipt.

For example, we will enroll your email in the mailing list of a merchant onlyif you go to the merchant screen in the app, click "More" and then subscribe to their mailing list. We do allow merchants to target offers to you based on your profile (for example, Birthday rewards on your birthday, VIP rewards if you are a top spender, etc).
