    Keep Your Information Stored Across Devices and Browsers

    Apple, Google, and other technology companies have made great strides in helping customers keep their secure information handy. Apple, for example, has created iCloud Keychain, which stores your information across your Apple devices and works on Safari. If you have a Google Account and use Google Chrome, you can sync your information and manage your saved passwords.

    Use a Password Manager

    There are a number of password managers available today, including 1password and LastPass. These ensure you can access all of your passwords in one place, and consistently use strong passwords for your accounts.

    Troubleshooting

    You may have to sign in one time to each browser and device you use once, since mostdon'tshare your private information with each other. That means you should only ever have to sign in once to The Atlantic, especially if you follow the steps above. If for any reason you do find yourself signed out, though, here are two ways you can get back in to your Atlantic account:

    Use Email to Sign In

    Weve created a simple way for you to sign in by using only your email address, and without needing to enter a password. Just follow these instructions:

    Open the sign in page.

    Select "Need help signing in?" below the email address and password fields.

    On the next page, enter the email address associated with your account.

    Open your email inbox on the same device and click the link you received from The Atlantic.

    The link will return you to The Atlantic and sign you in to your account automatically.

    Reset Your Password

    You can always choose simply to reset your password by following these steps:

    Open the sign in page.

    Select "Need help signing in?" below the email address and password fields.

    On the next page, select "Reset Now."

    On the next page, enter the email address associated with your account.

    Open your email inbox and click the link you received from The Atlantic.

    Enter a new password that is at least 8 characters long.

    Sign in to The Atlantic with your email address and new password.

    Sometimes, you may also run into a situation where you have to sign in to The Atlantic more than once. This will often be when youre using an app like Facebook or Twitter. Due in part to privacy policies, many appsdon'tstore your information for long periods of time. When thats the case, you will, unfortunately, have to sign in again.

    Purchase A Subscription

    First, make sure you've created an account with The Atlantic and your subscription is properly linked. Learn about how to link a subscription that isn't appearing here.

    Navigate to Subscriptions on the menu, and then select "Manage Subscription."

    Find "Auto-Renewal." Follow the steps to opt into Auto-Renewal, by adding your credit card information.

    First Magazine Delivery

    Welcome to The Atlantic! We're glad your subscription includes our print magazine.

    New subscribers will receive your first printed magazine 4-6 weeks after placing a subscription order. Please note that if your order was received by mail, the 4-6 weeks begins when the order was received.

    If you have not received your first magazine within 6 weeks of your purchase date, please let us know and we'll check on your subscription order.

    Regular Delivery Schedule

    Each magazine should arrive before the 1st day of the named cover month. For example, you should receive your November issue by November 1. For The Atlantic's double issues, the first month is the named cover month. For example, you should receive the July August issue by July 1.

    Subscriptions mailed outside the United States sometimes take an extra two weeks to deliver. If you've had trouble receiving magazines on time, please let us know and we'll take a look at your account and try to improve delivery.

    The Atlantic app is available in Apples App Store and works on devices running iOS 13.     Setting up your subscriber-only access

    Ifyou'vepurchased a subscription via The Atlantic or the App Store, you can read unlimited articles on the app and website. To unlock your access, just connect your subscription in the Settings tab of the Atlantic app.

    If you have an online account with The Atlantic, tap the Settings tab, then Sign In and enter the email address and password associated with your account.

    If you havent set up an online account, you can create one in the app. Go to Settings > Sign in. You will be prompted to create an account.

    Onceyou'vedone so, tap Link My Subscription in the "Settings" page and enter your account number.

    Restoring your iTunes Purchase

    Ifyou'vepurchased a subscription via the App Store, you can restore your purchase in the app by tapping the Settings tab, then Restore Purchase. You will be asked to enter the password associated with your Apple ID.

    Connect a missing subscription purchased inside The Atlantic app

    If you have purchased a subscription while using The Atlantic iOS app, you can sign in to The Atlantic and connect your subscription to your account by following either of these two methods.

    1. Connect your Apple subscription from The Atlantic website

    Open the Sign in page. If you have already signed in, this link will open your account.

    Find "Connect your subscription." Select the link for having purchased via "Apple"

    Click "Email me." to send yourself an emailed link. You should see a success message that this email has sent.

    Open your email inboxon the device you use to access The Atlantic iOS app. Find the email with the subject line "Sign in to The Atlantic iOS app!"

    Click this link to open The Atlantic app. You may be prompted to confirm. If so, select "Open."

    You should see a message on the app confirming that you are now signed in.

    Your Atlantic account is now connected to your Apple subscription. Return to the website to see your subscription reflected in your account. If you do not see this, try refreshing the page to allow your account to catch up!

    2. Connect your Apple subscription from The Atlantic's iOS app

    Open The Atlantic iOS app.

    Navigate to Settings.

    Select "Log in."

    Sign in to the account you have created on The Atlantic website.

    Signing in will connect this account with any Apple subscriptions you have purchased from The Atlantic app on this device.

    If you return to the website, you should see your subscription reflected in your account. If you do not see this, try refreshing the page to allow your account to catch up!

    What forms of payment do you accept?

    We currently accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay.

    Do you have an app?

    The Atlantic offers an iOS app, which is currently subscriber-only. You can gain access two ways: 1) by purchasing a subscription directly from The Atlantic and logging into the app or 2) purchasing a subscription from Apples App Store. While wedon'thave an Android app today, we plan to develop one at a future date.

    If youre already an Atlantic subscriber

    Can I still access The Atlantics full website?

    Yes! All existing and new subscribers have unlimited access to The Atlantics website. If you already have an account, just log in. If you dont, simply create an account and connect your subscription. If you need help creating an account, our help center has detailed instructions.

    I only get the print edition of the magazine. Do I still get access to the site?

    Yes! All subscribers have full access to The Atlantics website. You also have access to other digital benefits, which you can explore in your online account.

    I just purchased but I stillcan'tget full site access. Whats happening?

    After you entered your email address and password during the purchasing process, you should have received an email with the subject line, Please complete your online registration with The Atlantic.     Do I get five free articles in the iOS app, too?

    Our iOS app currently requires a subscription to read any articles. You can gain access to the app in two ways:

    Buy a subscription directly from The Atlantic and link your account in the app.

    Buy a subscription from the Apple App Store. If you choose this option, simply register with The Atlantic to get full access to the website as well.

    Do you have an academic discount?

    Both students and educators, at all levels, get a 50% discount on all subscriptions. You can purchase a subscription at our academic rate here.

    Do you have B2B subscriptions or group discounts?

    Wed be happy to speak with you more about bulk subscriptions. Please submit a request to learn more about our group subscription rates.

    Are international readers able to subscribe?

    Yes! All digital subscriptions are available to everyone at the same rate. Subscriptions that include the print edition of the magazine (Print & Digital, and Premium) will add an additional shipping & handling fee of $10 per year for Canada and $20 per year for all other international subscribers.

    What is included with my subscription?

    To save any story, tap on the bookmark icon at the bottom right of the article. You can access all of your saved stories by tapping the Saved tab at the bottom of the app screen. All saved stories will be available to you offline. To unsave a story, tap the bookmark icon again.

    Theres a lot you can do in the Settings tab of your app, including:

    Manage Your Subscription

    Explore alternative subscription plans, edit your account information, and change your password. To return to the Settings page of the app, tap Done in the upper left-hand corner. Please note: If you have a subscription purchased via the App Store, you can only manage your subscription through the app, not TheAtlantic.com.

    Choose Text Style

    The Atlantic app provides an alternative typeface to make articles easier to read for people with dyslexia. To activate it, tap the toggle next to Dyslexic Friendly. To make the text within the app bigger or smaller, ensure Use System Size is disabled and drag the slider under Text Scaling to achieve your desired text size.

    Manage Downloads

    Here, you can view how much storage space is being taken up by saved stories and magazine issues. To delete saved stories, go to Saved Stories > Delete All Saved Stories. To delete downloaded issues, go to Magazine Issues > Edit. Tap on any issues that youd like to remove and click on Delete Issue at the bottom-right of the screen.

    The Atlantics iOS app also supports Dark Mode and will automatically change to match your device settings. You can manually enable or disable Dark Mode on your device by opening the iOS Settings app and tapping Display & Brightness, then Appearance.

Readers can download these magazines to have access to The Atlantic on any device at any time. Once signed in to their account, subscribers can find their Digital Library by opening Benefits in the menu.

    Your email newsletter subscriptions

    Any Atlantic reader can adjust or add to their newsletter subscriptions with The Atlantic in their account. If you do not currently subscribe to any newsletters, you can find our suggestions for ones that may interest you by opening Newsletters in the menu.Then click "Manage" to subscribe or unsubscribe from a newsletter.

    If you want to pause your newsletters for a period of time, you can do so by enabling "Snooze Mode."

    Your editorial exclusives

    Check The Print Preview

    Set Your Options

    Our pages are formatted for screen width. Sometimes older browsers mistakenly print the last few characters of each line on a new page. Allowing your browser to fit the page to your printer's page width will eliminate this problem.

    Print In Segments

    For ease of on-screen reading, some longer articles are continued on multiple pages. On articles not equipped with the printer-friendly link, print each of the article's segments in succession in order to print a complete copy.
