Mr. Alex Yang has been the Managing Director of The Blackstone Group, Private Equity Group since March 10, 2017. Mr. Yang joined Blackstone in 2016. He served as Vice President of Olympus Capital Holdings Asia. He served as Principal of TPG Capital, L.P. He served as Principal at TPG Capital Asia, based in Beijing, where he focused on private equity investments in China across various industries including healthcare, industrials, consumer and retail and financial services. Prior to joining TPG Capital Asia, he served as Vice President at Olympus Capital Asia in Hong Kong focusing on environmental services and clean energy investments. He served as an Associate in Morgan Stanley's Industrial Investment Banking Group and as an Attorney in Kirkland & Ellis' Private Equity Group. Mr. Yang served on the board of HCP Packaging. Mr. Yang received M.B.A. from University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a J.D. from University of Minnesota Law School and a L.L.B. from Peking University Law School in China.
