Mr. Christopher James serves as Senior Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone Tactical Opportunities at The Blackstone Group L.P. and was previously a Managing Director. Mr. James previously managed a number of the firm's business development efforts and strategic initiatives across asset classes and investment products. Since joining the firm in 2006, he has led the organization of a number of new investment products as well as the execution of the firm's initial public offering and the firm's investments in GSO, P??tria Investimentos and Strategic Partners. Mr. James received a B.S. from Duke University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
