Eric Liaw — Managing Director of Private Equity Group at The Blackstone Group

Mr. Eric Liaw serves as Managing Director of The Blackstone Group, Private Equity Group. Mr. Liaw serves as Managing Director of Private Equity Group at The Blackstone Group L.P. Mr. Liaw has knowledge of the energy and natural resources industry and transactional experience as a private equity investor. He is focused on Blackstone's private equity investment activities in the energy sector. Since joining Blackstone in 2014, Mr. Liaw has been involved with Blackstone's investments. He serves as Vice President of TPG Capital. Mr. Liaw focuses on its global energy and natural resources investing efforts. He was a Principal of TPG Capital, L.P., where he evaluated and executed investment opportunities in the energy sector. Mr. Liaw served as an Associate in the Strategy Group of Carlyle Management Group Partners, L.P. Mr. Liaw was an Associate at Bain Capital, where he focused on private equity investments in a wide range of industries. Mr. Liaw served as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company where he provided strategic and deal advice to clients from a variety of industries and a number of private equity firms working in the industrial and retail sectors. He has been Director Northern Tier Energy LLC since December 2010. He served as a Director of Northern Tier Energy GP LLC from June 2010 to November 12, 2013. He served as a Director of Harvester Holdings, L.L.C. Mr. Liaw received his B.A. with highest honors and BBA, with highest honors, from the University of Texas at Austin and M.B.A. with distinction, from Harvard Business School.
