John McCormick — President & CEO of BAAM at The Blackstone Group

Mr. John McCormick, J.D. serves as the President and CEO at BAAM since January 2018. Mr. McCormick served as Senior Managing Director at The Blackstone Group L.P. He serves as Head of Global Business Strategy for the Hedge Fund Solutions Group and Senior Managing Director at Blackstone Alternative Asset Management L.P. Mr. McCormick has overall responsibility for the firm's global marketing and client services functions. He works closely with other members of senior management to establish strategic priorities for the hedge fund solutions group's business globally and to ensure that those priorities are addressed on an ongoing basis. Mr. McCormick joined the firm in 2005. Previously, he was an Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where he worked with clients in the financial services industry on a wide variety of strategic and operational issues. Prior to this, Mr. McCormick practiced law at Davis Polk & Wardwell's investment management group, as a Corporate Counsel at Reuters America and as the General Counsel and Vice President of Business Development at Norbert Technologies. He served at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Mr. McCormick holds B.A. from Vassar College and a J.D. from Yale Law School.
