Mr. Joseph Patrick Baratta, also known as Joe, has been the Global Head of Private Equity at The Blackstone Group, Private Equity Group since July 2012. Previously, Mr. Baratta served as the Senior Managing Director at the Blackstone Group, Private Equity Group. Mr. Baratta served as the Senior Managing Director and Head of European Private Equity at The Blackstone Group. He joined Blackstone in 1998. In 2001, he helped to establish Blackstone's corporate private equity business in Europe. Prior to joining Blackstone, he was with Tinicum Incorporated and McCown De Leeuw & Co., Inc. He served at American Infrastructure MLP Funds. Mr. Baratta worked at Morgan Stanley in its Mergers and Acquisitions Department. He has been a Director of NHP Ltd. since February 25, 2005 and Takeda Pharmaceuticals International AG since March 17, 2003. He serves as a Director of First Eagle Investment Management. Mr. Baratta serves on the Advisory Board of the McDonough School of Business. He serves on the board of Year Up. Mr. Baratta also serves on Georgetown University's Board of Directors. He serves as a Trustee of both the Tate Foundation and the Private Equity Foundation. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Southern Cross Healthcare Group plc from September 2004 to April 4, 2007. Mr. Baratta served as a Director of ICS Group, Penn Engineering, Universal City Development Partners Ltd., Tragus Ltd., Nycomed Holding ApS, Center Parcs (UK) Group Limited, Spirit Group Holdings, Merlin Entertainments plc and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, Inc. He served as Non-Executive Director of Casual Dining Group Ltd. He served as a Director of Seaworld Entertainment, Inc. from 2009 to June 15, 2016. He served as a Director of Nycomed SICAR S.C.A. Mr. Baratta Graduated and holds a Bachelor's Degree, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University.
