Xinyu Liu — Managing Director of Hedge Fund Solutions Group at The Blackstone Group

Mr. Xinyu Liu serves as Managing Director of Hedge Fund Solutions Group at The Blackstone Group L.P. Mr. Liu is involved in portfolio management, primarily focused on fixed income, global macro, emerging markets and systematic trading strategies. In addition, he is involved in hedge fund manager evaluation, selection and monitoring. Before joining Blackstone in 2009, Mr. Liu worked at UBP Asset Management, a fund-of-hedge-funds, where he served as a Portfolio Manager and the head of global macro, multi-strategy and emerging market strategies. Prior to joining UBP, Mr. Liu worked at American Express Alternative Investments, where he served as a Senior Analyst and portfolio manager and JP Morgan Chase in New York, where he served as a European interest rate derivatives trader. Mr. Liu received a BA from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China and an MBA in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
