At The Breakers, we strive to be servant leaders throughout the community. Our dedicated team embraces the organization’s culture of caring and volunteerism, and we value the opportunity to support those in need.
The Breakers’ GIVES program encourages team members to use work time to support local agencies through the use of Community Service Hours. Each year, full-time team members receive 16 hours of paid time for volunteering (part-time employees receive 8 hour) to contribute time, energy and resources to their choice of charitable partners. In addition, during orientation, new team members engage in a community service project with members of our Executive Group, which emphasizes the spirit of service at the heart of The Breakers and the importance of Community Service Hours.
In 2023 The Breakers served 226 agencies, hosted nearly 700 volunteer activities & events, provided over 30,000 volunteer hours and contributed $2.76 million in cash and in-kind contributions.
