Mr. Michael Scarpa, also known as Mike, has been Executive Vice President of The Children's Place Retail Stores, Inc. since December 3, 2012 and also its Chief Operating Officer since April 24, 2013. Mr. Scarpa served as the Chief Financial Officer of The Children's Place Retail Stores, Inc. from December 3, 2012 to December 8, 2014 and also served as its Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Scarpa was Principal Accounting Officer of The Talbots Inc. and was its Treasurer since January 2009. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of The Talbots Inc. since December 4, 2008 and was responsible for Supply Chain, Information Technology, Inventory Management and Strategic Planning. He has over 30 years of operational and financial expertise in the specialty retail and apparel sector. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of The Talbots Inc. since May 5, 2009. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Fifth & Pacific Companies, Inc. from January 31, 2007 to November 30, 2008 and Chief Financial Officer from January 2000 to June 2007, Senior Vice President from July 2002 to May 2005 and Vice President from January 2000 to July 2002 and also served as its Interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Scarpa served as a Vice President of Fifth & Pacific Companies, Inc. from 1991 to 2000, Divisional Controller since 1991, Senior Vice President, Finance and Distribution since July 2002 and Vice President, Financial Planning and Operations since 1995. He oversaw Supply Chain, Information Systems, Retail Operations, Inventory Management as well as Liz Claiborne's Canadian Businesses. He joined Liz Claiborne Inc. in 1983 and served as Budget Manager and in various management positions thereafter. He is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Scarpa holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University.
