Christopher Jones — Executive Vice President of Marketing and Services at The Descartes Systems Group

Mr. Christopher Jones, also known as Chris, has been an Executive Vice President of Marketing and Services at The Descartes Systems Group Inc since June 2011 and is primarily responsible for Descartes marketing activities and professional services for Descartes' solutions. Mr. Jones served as an Executive Vice President of Solutions and Services of Descartes Systems Group Inc. since September 2006. Mr. Jones served as an Executive Vice President of Solutions and Markets at Descartes Systems Group Inc. from May 16, 2005 to September 2006. He served as Executive Vice President of Services at The Descartes Systems Group Inc since February 2011. He has 22 years experience as an executive in the enterprise applications and supply chain markets. He joined Descartes with over 20 years of experience in the enterprise applications and supply chain markets. He served as Senior Vice President in Aberdeen Group, Inc.'s Value Chain Research division. There, he was responsible for creating a market-leading supply chain and manufacturing research and advisory research practice. Prior to Aberdeen, Mr. Jones served as Executive Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Development for SynQuest Inc. since January 2000. He served as an Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Market of Viewlocity Inc. From September 1998 to January 2000, He served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Development at SynQuest Inc. At SynQuest, He was responsible for corporate marketing, company strategy, product strategy, business development, funding programs and mergers and acquisitions. He led the creation and launch of the value based selling and marketing strategy that repositioned it from selling factory scheduling systems to mid size manufacturers to selling highly differentiated supply chain solutions to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to SynQuest, he served as a Vice President of Enterprise Applications, Manufacturing and Logistics Research for GartnerGroup Inc. from May 1994 to September 1998. He was responsible for Gartner's ERP and Manufacturing Strategies Service and Co-Founded Gartner's Integrated Logistics Strategies (Supply Chain) Service. He also provided strategic advice and council to the leading enterprise applications vendors and manufacturing companies throughout the world. From July 1981 to May 1994, he was employed by Kraft Foods in a variety of operations, strategy and technology management positions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University.
