Catherine M. Ward CCIM — Senior Vice President of Asset Management and Leasing at The Michaels Companies

Ms. Catherine M. Ward, CCIM, has been a Senior Vice President of Asset Management and Leasing of Corporate Office Properties Trust Inc. (Formerly Corporate Office Properties Trust). since January 7, 2004. Ms. Ward has the responsibility for the financial performance for a specific portfolio of office buildings in Howard, Montgomery, Frederick and Washington Counties in Maryland. She also oversees the asset management function in Baltimore County. Ms. Ward has 25 years of real estate experience, including ten with Constellation Real Estate and four with a local Baltimore developer. Cathy's experience traverses both retail and office development, leasing, and property and asset management. She has been active in a number of local industry organizations, including the Maryland Chapter of NAIOP, where she is immediate past president and currently chairs the Legislative Committee. Ms. Ward is also active in a number of community organizations. After completing Howard County Leadership, she served on the Howard County Leadership Board and was appointed by Howard County Executive James Robey to the Howard County Spending Affordability Committee for 2003 and 2004. She was appointed by Howard County Executive Ken Ulman and approved by the Howard County Council to serve on the Howard County Economic Development Authority Board and is currently Vice Chairman. Ms. Ward also serves on the Advisory Committees for Learning, Inc., a non-profit in Baltimore. In 2007, the Daily Record named Ms. Ward one of Maryland's Top 100 Women. Ms. Ward earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Towson University and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
