Executive Bio

Mr. Frank W. Ziegler has been a Senior Vice President of New Business & Development Government Services of Corporate Office Properties Trust since February 2006. Mr. Ziegler is responsible for the overall development, design and construction of Government, Government-related Facilities, Data and Information Technology Centers and new business pursuits in this core business area. He served as Vice President of Government & Construction Services of COPT Development & Construction Services, LLC. He has over 30 years of experience in real estate development, construction management and leasing for a wide range of office, retail and mixed-use developments; and special projects including historic renovation at Camden Yards, University of Maryland's Columbus Center for Marine Biotechnology Research and The Port Discovery Children's Museum in Baltimore. During his career, Frank has been responsible for the development of over three million square feet of office and specialty building including interior fit up, three million square feet of urban mixed-use facilities, and four million square feet of retail centers. Prior to joining COPT, Mr. Ziegler was a Partner of a development consulting firm, and Director of Construction, Development Director and Manager of Environmental Compliance with The Rouse Company in Columbia, Maryland. During this period his responsibilities included development and construction management, office leasing and project accountability through delivery to asset management. He and is registered as a Professional Engineer in the states of Connecticut and Maryland. He is a member of INSA, AFCOM and NAIOP. Mr. Ziegler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Illinois.
