Mr. Robert Gilby, also known as Rob, has been Managing Director of South East Asia of The Walt Disney Company since December 1, 2011. Mr. Gilby serves as the Managing Director and Managing Director of Disney Media Distribution Asia Pacific of The Walt Disney Company (Southeast Asia) Pte. Ltd. He serves as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Disney at ABC International Television Asia Pacific at Disney/ABC International Television, Inc. since January 2008. Mr. Gilby served as Managing Director of Disney Channel U.K., Scandinavia and Emerging Markets. He plays a leading role in growing the distribution and revenue of all television and film content developed by Walt Disney through the Walt Disney Studios, ABC, ABC Studios, Disney Channel and Disney-ABC Cable Networks throughout the region (excluding Japan), including Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Korea. His efforts span across all platforms such as terrestrial, pay, cable/satellite, telco and IPTV and such technologies as PPV, VOD, broadband and mobile. He served as a Non-Independent Non Executive Director of UTV Software Communications Limited from September 4, 2009 to March 16, 2012. Mr. Gilby is a Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.
