Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
What do you like best about the leadership team?
From the initial phone interview to assisting me with a log in issue, awesome assistance to rectify and get my account up and running before my 1st shift.
Transparent and honest - genuinely wants to help. Best CEO I've ever worked for. Things are getting really exciting this year and I can't wait for the new facility to open
Heavily involved in all parts of the business, really committed to their people (in the main office, at least)
Ashwin is the best leader I've ever had.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
This company should go to hell
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Cell and mileage are wonderful.
They are just basic benefits
Its a fair comp package but I know I could probably get more elsewhere... so it's a trade off
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
This company is garbage and takes advantage of drivers so that they can deliver their crappy food
Pay is pretty consistently below market. Yes, Thistle is a startup, but the only way to grow is to invest in your people. Similar roles to mine elsewhere make 25-30k more annually on average, with a better defined bonus structure.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone helps everyone, gives pointers on the best way to approach situations.
Hard workers and kind people
Great culture, incredibly friendly people
Sharp people everywhere, fun to be around
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Communication across teams is pretty dismal. Getting better since the new People Ops leadership came on, but still a long way to go. Also, the divide between production and corporate is worse than in most other similar companies.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Just a great atmosphere, all of it...from the other drivers, to the prep kitchen to the logistics and management team upstairs...all awesome
It all positive we have party's for each ethnic group ever so often

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Better systems for employee support and growth, more culture building events across all departments and facilities. Mandated production training for corporate employees and vice versa would go a long way.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Felt like a no pressure interview, which was wonderful
straight forward, general interview questions that help you get a sense of the interviewee.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I joined the company largely because of the long term vision and sustainable growth mindset. It seems that's gone out the window for the sake of flashy growth initiatives. Focus on the core business and the people you have. You say you're a family, but it doesn't feel much like it.
