Karl Johannson — Executive VP & President of Natural Gas Pipelines at TransCanada Corporation

Mr. Karl R. Johannson has been an Executive Vice-President and President of Natural Gas Pipelines at TransCanada Corporation and TransCanada PipeLines Limited since November 1, 2012 and November 01, 2012 respectively. Mr. Johannson has fifteen years of commercial experience in the power business including project management, power trading, commercial management of facilities, gas acquisition and optimization and power marketing. Mr. Johannson served as the Chief Operating Officer of Foothills Pipe Lines Ltd. He joined TransCanada in 1990 and has over 20 years of experience in marketing and trading energy products in Canada and the U.S. He has over twenty years direct experience in the marketing and trading of energy products in Canada and the U.S.A. He has fifteen years of commercial experience in the power business including project management, power trading, commercial management of facilities, gas acquisition and optimization and power marketing. He served as Senior Vice President of Canadian and Eastern U.S. pipelines at TransCanada PipeLines Ltd. He served as the Senior Vice-President of Canadian Power for TransCanada. He was responsible for all activities relating to the management of TransCanada's Canadian and Western U.S.A. unregulated electricity businesses including: The management of the Western power generation business including generation capacity of about 2000 MW's in Alberta and 500 MW's in Arizona; The management of the Eastern Canadian power generation business consisting of TransCanada's equity interest in over 4000 MW's of power operating or under construction. Prior to joining the power business, he held several management and trading positions in energy marketing organizations including crude oil marketing and natural gas liquids trading. Prior to joining the power business, Mr. Johannson held several management and trading positions in energy marketing organizations including crude oil marketing and natural gas liquids trading. He has over twenty years direct experience in the marketing and trading of energy products in Canada and the U.S.A. He has been the Chairman of TC PipeLines GP, Inc., a General Partner of TC PipeLines, LP since March 25, 2013. He has been a Director of CPP GP LLC - General Partner of Columbia Pipeline Partners LP since July 01, 2016. He serves as a Director of CPG OpCo GP LLC. He served as a Director of Foothills Pipe Lines Ltd. and Bruce Power L.P. He served as Director at Trans Quebec & Maritimes Pipelines Inc. Mr. Johannson holds an M.B.A. from the Haskayne School of Business, an Arts degree from the University of Calgary and is a Graduate of Harvard Business School's General Management Program.
