Not all departments are created equal. With that said, some departments have great Leadership while others lack. A few Leaders/Managers are not suited to manage a team much less an individual. I have dealt from difficult clients and difficult co-workers in past jobs, but never a psycho manager.

Listen to your employees when issues arise. Especially in Leadership dynamics. Companies tend to blame the staff but sometimes it is the Manager that is the problem.
