Executive Bio

John H. Tyson serves as the Chairman of the Board of Tyson Foods, Inc. He has been a member of the company’s Board of Directors since 1984, contributing decades of leadership and strategic oversight.

John previously served as Chief Executive Officer, President and Vice Chairman. He also spent five years as the President of the Beef and Pork Division, helping guide one of the company’s core business segments.

Beyond Tyson Foods, John has remained active in philanthropy, education and community leadership. He serves on the boards for the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business and the Walden Woods Project. In recognition of his contributions to international relations, he received the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship in 2006. He is also the founder of Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas, a course that serves as the home of the University of Arkansas men’s and women’s golf programs.
