Mike Wheeler serves as Chief Technology Officer for Tyson Foods. In this role, he is responsible for leading the Global Technology organization, including Information Systems, Cyber Security, Technology, Data & Digital and Digital Transformation & Innovation.
Mike has more than 20 years of experience as a trusted leader and strategic business partner in finance and accounting, change management and IT system implementations. Throughout his 12 years at Tyson Foods, he has held various roles of increasing responsibility, including his most recent position as Senior Vice President of Finance & Accounting Beef & Pork. In these roles, Mike has championed multiple IT system implementations, strategic automation projects and data-driven digital initiatives that underscore his commitment to driving scalable, value-driven technology.
Prior to Tyson Foods, Mike spent 10 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), where he managed integrated audit engagements in the retail and consumer industries, analyzed financial results and reviewed financial statements and SEC filings.
Mike holds a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business.
