The 401K match and the variety of health insurance options.
Unequal pay for 2 of 6 Editors doing the same work. I have 2 extra duties (website setup and updates, and colorization of maps.) I had to figure out how to use Adobe Illustrator and the govt web software. I want equal pay, but the new director told me no last December. There’s more, but I can’t ..

Relatable, determined and dedicated team
The commitment to excellence. Their desire to collaborate. Their willingness to go above and beyond every day.
My team cpnsists mostly of smart scientists studying interesting topics. As their editor, I learn something new every day. They accept my suggestions and/or requirements and treat me with respect. The other editors are good at doing their jobs, and are willing to trade or cover a job for each other.

Morale could be more important to keep everyone striving to do better.
The work sample was different than anything I've ever taken

Having the opportunity to share the important work we do.
The passion my co-workers have and their knowledge makes me want to be better.
We have a millionaire chicken farmer telling scientists how to do their jobs, and his hires aren’t much better. Improvement would have agricultural and earth scientists in charge and making decisions to improve agriculture and preserve natural resources.
