Diversity and Inclusion at Unity

At Unity, we believe the world is a better place with more creators in it. One of the most effective ways to support creators is by having a workforce that appreciates and reflects their diversity, now and into the future. We anchor our approach to Inclusion in a commitment to Empathy, Respect, and Opportunity (ERO).

Empathy is necessary to validate the perspectives of others. It is the capacity to feel what another person is experiencing by putting yourself in their position.

Respect is a recognition of dignity. It is about treating others how they want to be treated, which compels us to ask how they feel most valued.

Opportunity is a guarantee that individuals are treated equitably, free from artificial barriers, prejudices, or preferences.

We have eight global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) representing the Asian commUnity, Accessibility commUnity, Black commUnity, Latinx commUnity, LGBTQ+ commUnity, Muslim commUnity, Service Member commUnity, and the Women commUnity. Under the “commUnity is for all” approach, we encourage employees to join any ERG in order to promote learning, partnerships and allyship across different experiences of culture and identity.

Additionally, we plan and produce dozens of activities throughout the year to celebrate, honor and recognize important heritage, history and awareness dates that are significant to communities underrepresented in tech.

From our interview process through to Leadership training, Inclusion is woven throughout Unity.
