Jim Poon — Senior Vice President of Asia Operations at Universal Electronics

Mr. Jim Poon has been the Senior Vice President of Asia Operations at Universal Electronics Inc. (UEI) since August 17, 2016. Mr. Poon joined UEI in 2015. Prior to joining UEI, Mr. Poon was the Chief Operating Officer for TTM Technologies where he was responsible for its Asia operations. Before joining TTM Technologies, Mr. Poon worked for Flextronics/Multek for over 14 years in Asia, holding various senior level positions responsible for Global Quality and Operations. He served as Corporate Vice President of Quality Assurance at Multek Corporation. Mr. Poon was responsible for developing, implementing, improving, and standardizing Multek's quality system worldwide. He joined Multek China in 1999 as Vice President of Sales & Customer Service. After the merge with Flextronics in April 2000, he was named Vice President of Quality Assurance for Multek Asia. Before moving to Asia in 1997, he worked for AlliedSignal where he was responsible for product commercialization and was trained as Six Sigma New Product Development Master. He has more than 33 years of diversified experience in Operations, Quality Management, Program and Project Management, Process Engineering, New Product Development, Business Development, Sales and Marketing and Customer Service. Mr. Poon is a master black belt in Six-Sigma and holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University, a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from New York University (formerly Polytechnic University) and an MBA from Hofstra University.
