The people are great, but the pay and schedule has left me seeking employment elsewhere. UAB is large, and someone will always be there to take your job. However, an organization will never grow and improve if there is always a revolving door.

I work with a great team. However, there are some toxic peers who know how to maliciously "shmooze" leadership.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
The turn-around between interviewing and receiving a job offer is triple the time at other higher ed and corporate organizations.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The V-level leadership team is very in-tune with needs of employees. They do not act on those knees, but they do express their awareness.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Pay is very unfair for women. AVPs get to determine salaries. They make 6-figures, and they are very out of touch with salary trends and fair compensation.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Pay is unfair and the schedule is ridiculous and exhausting. There is zero flexibility, and salaried employees are worked to near death. We miss out on multiple important family and life moments.
