I relocated for my husband's job. This didn't negatively affect my employer, in fact this was a net benefit for their business. They didn't pay for this move in anyway. Yet they reduced my pay. However, they did not reduce the pay of any of my colleagues who moved to lower cost areas.
A better company a better boss and a semblance of any ability to cope with a known acquisition that they were totally incapable of handling

Establish clear goals of the meeting before, and follow up on the agreements and results of the meeting after. Unfortunatelly the daily challenges took us a part from the designed strategy

Change HR , she cant keep a secret
Better managers and better leadership and oversight
Reduce meetings. Allow teams to set their own rules and policies that work for them instead of making them do everything the way executives determine.
