How employees describe working at Venmo
Don't cancel peoples accounts for no reason and keep the money. Then refuse to answer questions as to why the account is suspended.
To let me move my funds from Venmo to any of my accounts or cards
Say 5 business days, not 3-5, because it will always take 5
A vendor asked me to Venmo money to her as opposed to sending a check. It takes 6 days for the money to show in my Venmo account even though it left my bank four days ago. No excuse for that. I love Zelle. Only use Venmo when it's all a vendor will take, such as my yoga instructor.
Improve customer service. On line help is awful. Need more phone reps to back up onine help deficiencies.

If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Venmo?
More executives who truly understand the product, and have a legitimate vision for Venmo
More executive presence in the NY office
What do people at Venmo think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
He has a lack of vision, strategy and point of view for Venmo. He doesn't use the product, making it incredibly difficult to understand why people use Venmo. It's increasingly clear that he can't relate to, or understand the team or the users. While he's an experienced entrepreneur, his lack of understanding and interest in Venmo shows. It's an unfortunate situation that only PayPal executives can fix... by replacing him with a true consumer tech entrepreneur who loves Venmo as much as its employees.
Mixed reviews. The GM lives in Boston so would like to see him more. He's a 3x entrepreneur so has good direction and vision
How secure do you feel at your job at Venmo?
What does that mean? Like do we feel like we're going to downsize and do lay-offs? With any growth stage company, there's huge risk in growth stopping or leveling off, and downsizing done to offset the cost of running the business. Venmo employees face that risk, the same as any other growth stage company. The difference being that we don't have to worry about raising funding - PayPal Inc is our sole funding mechanism, and is financially sound.
What part of Venmo's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
