Dave Pool — Senior Vice President of Technology Services at VERISIGN

Mr. Dave Pool serves as Senior Vice President of Technology Services at VeriSign, Inc. Mr. Pool served as Senior Vice President of Engineering at Red Lambda Inc. since May 31, 2012. Mr. Pool is a veteran technology executive, he has more than 20 years' experience in product development and critical infrastructure engineering for some of the world's most prominent security and technology companies. Prior to joining Red Lambda, he served as vice president of infrastructure engineering at VeriSign, Inc., where he led the engineering of the software, compute, network and storage infrastructure that supports VeriSign's critical Internet services. He was instrumental in the development and support of the ATLAS platform which runs the DNS services for .com and .net at a peak load of well over 100 billion queries per day at true 100% availability for over 14 years. He also established VeriSign Labs to bolster Verisign's reputation as a thought leader in the industry, create new revenue opportunities and manage Verisign's intellectual property assets. Prior to VeriSign, he served as the Chief Technology Officer at Opion, Inc., where he led research, development and quality assurance for the company's real-time market forecasting service. He also served senior product development and leadership roles with IBM, CSC, Network Solution and Booz-Allen & Hamilton. He holds a BS in applied mathematics and computer science from Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia.
