Mr. Jeffrey B. Coyne, also known as Jeff, Esq., has been an Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Veritone, Inc. since October 24, 2016. Mr. Coyne has over 25 years of legal and corporate leadership experience. He served as Senior Vice President of Newport Corp. from July 2004 to April 2016 and its General Counsel and Corporate Secretary from June 2001 to April 2016. He served as Vice President of Newport Corp. from June 2001 to July 2004. Prior to joining Newport Corp., Mr. Coyne was a Partner in the Corporate and Securities Law Department of Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, Outside Corporate Counsel of Newport Corp., from January 2000 to June 2001 and was an associate attorney at such firm from February 1994 to December 1999. From November 1991 to February 1994, Mr. Coyne was an associate attorney at Pillsbury Madison & Sutro (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP), an international law firm. He is a Member of the State Bar of California and the Orange County Bar Association. He received his JD from the University of Southern California and his BA in economics from Duke University.
