Mr. John Ransey McPherson has been the Chief Financial & Strategy Officer of Vulcan Materials Company since July 14, 2014 and has also been its Executive Vice President since January 2014. Mr. McPherson served as the Chief Financial Officer of Vulcan Materials Company from December 16, 2013 to July 2014. Mr. McPherson has a significant level of financial and accounting expertise. Mr. McPherson served as Senior Vice President of East Region for Construction Materials at Vulcan Materials Company from November 1, 2012 to December 16, 2013. Mr. McPherson served as Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Vulcan Materials Company from October 2011 to November 1, 2012. Before joining Vulcan in October 2011, he served as a Senior Partner of McKinsey & Company from 2006 to 2011. Prior to joined Vulcan in October 2011, Mr. McPherson worked at McKinsey & Company, Inc. since beginning in 1995. He held a variety of senior management positions over a 17-year career that included leadership of McKinsey's Americas Organization Practice, its North American Retail Practice and its Dallas office. Prior to joining McKinsey, Mr. McPherson worked with Goldman Sachs in New York and Hong Kong. He has been a Director of Forterra, Inc. since October 20, 2016. He serves as a Director of Oakworth Capital, Inc. He serves as Outside Director of Oakworth Capital Bank. He earned BS and MBA degrees from Stanford University.
