Mr. John E. Kunz has been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at U.S. Concrete, Inc. since October 2017. Mr. Kunz has over 30 years of financial expertise, including accounting, tax, finance and capital markets experience. Mr. Kunz also has extensive experience in corporate governance compliance, public company reporting and internal controls. Mr. Kunz served as Vice President at Tenneco Inc. since March 2015 until September 29, 2017 and served as its Corporate Controller since March 01, 2015 until September 29, 2017. Mr. Kunz served as Principal Accounting Officer at Tenneco Inc. Mr. Kunz served as Vice President of Tax and Treasurer of Tenneco Inc from July 2006 to March 01, 2013 and from February 17, 2004 to March 01, 2015 respectively. He was responsible for the capital structure and liquidity for the Tenneco Inc. as well as the global tax function. He was responsible for a team that handled all corporate and business unit accounting functions including consolidations, financial planning and analysis and Securities and Exchange Commission reporting at Tenneco Inc. He served as Controller at Tenneco Inc. He is responsible for its treasury, insurance and investment activities including building and managing relationships with the banking community and rating agencies. He joined Tenneco from Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, where he rose through positions of increasing responsibility to become Vice President and Treasurer. In that capacity he oversaw commercial and investment banking relationships; global cash management; capital structure analysis; rating agency relationships; benefit plan oversight; foreign exchange, interest rate and commodity risk management; and credit and collections. Prior to joining Great Lakes in 1999, Mr. Kunz served as Director of corporate development at Weirton Steel Corporation, where he also held prior positions in capital planning, business development and financial analysis. He joined Weirton from KPMG Peat Marwick (KPMG LLP). He has been an Independent Director of Wabash National Corporation since March 28, 2011. He received a BBA in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
